I'm very optimistic!
Well, where to start. Yes we all know Sunday and tonight were very disappointing, BUT the heart that the team showed can't be forgotten. While some of the shots weren't falling, rotations a bit slow, and calls may have been questionable, the C's were still in a great position to win both games towards the ends. Add in a nearly unthinkable depleted roster and its a shock these games didn't end up worse. The thugs from Florida barely edged out a team without arguably its two top defenders and voice in the locker room.
Now on to the reasons why I am and you should be optimistic

....
1. Add in Rondo and both games would surely be on the Celtics side on the win/loss column
2. Even a healthy Davis and/or Allen and/or Scal these games could have gone the C's way
3. The Celtic's absolutely steamrolled LeBrick/LeCrab/LeWhateveryouwanttocallhim without the anchor of their league leading defense
4. Sure some are hollering Fail! at the Stephon era, but give him a bit more time and it could very easily pay huge dividends towards banner 18
5. While Paul and Ray are playing obvious extended minutes right now, maybe these losses will give Cleveland enough cushion for Doc to realize that an extra day off for P2 or Sugar Ray will be very important
6. Powe is back, look out NBA. It's that time of year and Leon is playing more and more consistent and that is what will more than likely push the Celtics over the edge this post season
7. Finally, and most importantly, the desire that is shown by this team is undeniable. Every night is a mission and this team will not rest until Banner 18 is secured to be raised into the rafters along with the other great Celtics teams of the past.
I know the score watching bandwagon fans of the NBA are loving these small hickups by the Celtics, and I can't wait to see them fresh and healthy in the post season where the defending World Champion Boston Celtics will prove again that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW I live in the midwestern area and am going to my first ever Celtic game next week at Chicago during my spring break. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to attend a game, and the thought of finally being able to make my voice heard supporting my favorite team in the world already gives me the chills. Best of luck to the Celtics on their quest to number 18, finish strong/healthy/and fresh

and we'll see who the best team in the league is!
