from the Globe:

Rondo hopeful
Glen Davis (right ankle sprain) left the locker room on crutches and no timetable was set for his return. Rajon Rondo (right ankle sprain) hopes to play at Miami Wednesday.

"It wasn't that bad," Rondo said of the injury he sustained Friday night. "I'm planning on [Wednesday]. I'm getting treatment

I hope he does play.  I know getting healthy is important, but if he's well enough to play he should.  The Celtics can afford to lose the #1 seed, but I don't think they want to lose the #2 seed as well.  Pierce plays with sprained ankles all the time and never misses games because of it.  I'm sure Rondo will be fine by Wednesday, especially if he thinks so.
"If somebody would have told you when he was playing with the Knicks that Nate Robinson was going to change a big time game and he was going to do it mostly because of his defense, somebody would have got slapped."  Mark Jackson
