the turnovers haven't been so bad as of late. Today was an aberration. We didn't have our PG, and the guy who filled in was rusty as heck and didn't know the plays... what did you expect?
PP had 6 today. What is his excuse?!
today - 17 turnovers
vs. Clev - 8 turnovers
vs. NJ - 18 turnovers
vs. Det - 12 turnovers
vs. Ind - 15
vs. Clips -20
vs Den - 10
vs. Phoenix -19
vs. Utah -19
vs. Dal -19
9 of the last 10 games they were in double digits, and 6 of them with 15 or more. Doesn't quite back up your statement of us doing better as of late with this, now does it? I think the Cleveland game appears to be the aberration.
I am aware that TOs are a serious issue for our team. I think there is no news there. To me the Cleveland game is not an aberration. They ARE the best defensive team right now by some measures, and we were lacking personnel but still managed to keep them VERY low. Besides, it was to some people the biggest game of the season for the Celtics. They stepped up. In today's game, you could even argue that we did't perform that bad as we had 17 TOs, only 2 more than our season average, without Rondo and a lot of other guys.
Regarding the TOs of PP today, I just want to point out that PP has played tons of minutes as of late. Averaged 41 mins on february and around 43 or 44 during march. It's not incredible to me that he had 6 TOs today, he played for 45 minutes. Not enough excuse maybe, but I think that is a factor that does matter. PP handles the ball a lot. RR was out, Steph played only 20 mins today. I prefer PP handling the ball rather than Eddie. Paul can create for others and for himself better tan anyone else who is healthy right now. Although PP had only 3 assists tonight, he was the team leader in that category. So let's give him a break shall we. He is the team's heart and soul, he just had an off game today. Most of the time when there is a savior it's him, just not today.
