best part of the game for me....

late in the 4th Q as the game was unravelling for the Cavs, a rotation was missed and Z (i'm pretty sure) yells at LeBron..

does anybody remember the play better than me? Was it LBJ he yelled at? And what was the dynamic of play? Was it a Rondo penetration?

Don't remember, do you recall what the time was roughly?

I'd say under 4 mins to go in the game.....maybe if i look at the game log it will jar my memory.....

they didn't show a replay, so i couldn't quite catch who Z was yelling at, but it looked like LeBron.

okay looking at the game log, I would say it was one of these scores:

5:16       83-92   Paul Pierce makes driving layup

4:45       83-94   Leon Powe makes layup (Paul Pierce assists)

3:47       83-98   Leon Powe makes dunk (Paul Pierce assists)

2:35       88-100   Ray Allen makes two point shot

Z came out at the 2 min mark...

i think the last one was the scoop under shot, right...so i don't think it was that one.

I just rewatched the end of the game, trying to see the play you were talking of.

According to the game log you posted, it has to be this one :

3:47       83-98   Leon Powe makes dunk (Paul Pierce assists)

Here is the play : Pierce's got the ball, LeBron is defending on him, then Pierce dribbles and Perkins sets a screen so Ilgauskas goes on Paul to stop him but he passes him by and LeBron is too late on the rotation (largely due to Perk's screen) so Pierce can drive to the paint, where he makes an easy pass to Powe, who dunks easily.

Just after this dunk, Z turns to LeBron (on top right of the court) and yells at him while clapping his hands with rage. Then we can see he keeps talking to LeBron but the camera sets on Pierce on the other side of the court and we don't see the scene. There are no replays of this action so that's all we can see! I'm impressed that you were able to see that during the game because it was a very brief scene but you are right, it's very funny (and unusual) to see that. ;D

thanks so much for digging that up. that is definitely the play. they were so frustrated at that point in the game. they just could not stop our penetration.

The camera did move off the fallout, but I think Tommy mentioned something about the finger-pointing too...

I hate that we don't get game replays on the weekend...

It was [dang] slow but I finally managed to upload the play on Youtube! Here it is :

As you can see, the ESPN announcers didn't even mention it!
