Sorry I'm not watching can a kind soul please tell me what happened with Big Baby?

BBD fouled Varejao hard as he was going to basket, got a flagrant 2.  I liked the foul myself.  Cavs got upset.  Ray Allen, LeBron and Ilgauskas got T's.

Sorry I'm not watching can a kind soul please tell me what happened with Big Baby?

He fouled Verajao hard. It probably should have been a flagrant 1 foul, but it was stupid to give the refs the choice; they opted for flagrant 2 and an ejection (automatic with a flagrant 2).

Basically, Verajao was going to the hoop and Baby jumped straight up next to him with his arms up, then brought both arms down, one in front of the head and one behind, and kind of collared/clotheslined him and dragged him to the ground.

Oh thanks. I'm being forcibly restrained from the TV because my twin doesn't want me to ruin her party. My Cavs hate this season is becoming legendary lol.

Looks like the Celtics can't catch a break. No matter. Go Celtics.

Which Varejao played up real nice....

i agree, I think it should have been a flagrant 1. However, two points:
1. From the 3 point line view, you really can see that Verajao's momentum is stopped very very abruptly by the clothesline of Davis. It was a very hard foul around the neck.

2. Davis should know better than to give the refs the chance to call a flagrant 2. Just play tough but clean; don't give the refs a chance.

3. Unrelated:  great finish by Pierce!!! After a bucket by Marbury!!

Pierce for 3!!!

Eat it, NBA!

I just got legitimately pumped up watching Pierce's dot go in from the corner on the gamecast at work... this is almost sad, but still awesome.

I sent you a PM.

I can imagine what's in it.

Starbury seems better in the 2nd halves generally. I think he just needs to get the engine going, maybe.

Alright, I'll say it.

Aside from Perk and KG, Powe is our best Rebounder.

Powe is absolutely eating the Cavs big guys alive in the post.

Was Davis's ejection a good thing if it forces Doc to play Powe?

Sure it was. Powe has too much integrity to flop and act.

Even ESPN announcers can't believe Pierce didn't get the +1 on his last basket.

Haha...this is disgusting....yet again the celtics can be fouled on every possesion with no call but cant breathe on the defensive side of the ball

Wow Mikki how do you not get that board?
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I like starting Davis because he's much more the type of player KG is with the jumpshot and the like.

Powe meanwhile does a lot of down-low post scoring and rebounding, so he and Perk probably have a harder time coexisting.

Wow, in the penalty. Incredible.

Still, if they can't hit them.

WHAT THE HELL KIND OF A FOUL IS THAT?! HE LOST THE BALL!

CAN THE CAVS DO NO WRONG?
