As an aside, how did Marbury look last night. I see he didn't score but he also passed out some assists. Is he being allowed to run the offense more? Just curious as I did not see the game. Thanks.
Marbury looks out of practice to me. He missed some shots, including driving layups. He made one or two turnovers. He is not comfortable with his Celtics defensive rotations. His game needs work which is not a surprise being off the court for more than a year now.
I think Marbury was too passive on the offensive end last night. He hesitated and passed up open shots. Doc said after they acquired Marbury that he wanted him to be aggressive, and that he would let him know if he needed to hold back at all. Hopefully he starts to take that advice, and I'm sure he will once he gets more comfortable and gets his timing down. But it's at least nice to see that he's trying to get involved in the team concept.
Quote of the article:"Conferring with one another, the Big Three all agreed that Marbury had implied, if not expressly stated, that perhaps Celtics coach Doc Rivers should be stabbed to death, an implication they found unnerving. "
