For the record, I'm on the TO to NE bandwagon. Sign him now, I don't care what anyone else thinks.

But is there going to be enough footballs thrown for him and Randy Moss?

I don't know what team would want him.  At age 36, he's only going to be good for a season or two, meaning he should go to a contender that needs a boost over the top.  However, most teams like that might not want to disrupt their chemistry.

The other alternative, of course, is for him to be a sideshow.  In that case, the Raiders are the team.

I'm putting myself out there to say that he ends up with the Chiefs. With newly acquired QB Cassel, they'll need an upgrade at WR and with both players being new, they can start a new friendship/chemistry. Not saying it works, but thats what could happen.

2 weeks ago or so, I thought about how NE could take care of the QB situation. I disagree with their decision to keep Brady. At this point in his career, whether he still is the greatest or not, Cassel was great for the team. And Brady still possessed greater trade value. I was hoping they'd trade Brady for a ton of talent and draft picks. Maybe I'll do it on Madden09/10

The chiefs have Dwayne Bowe, a very good young WR.  They also are not competing for anything anytime soon and I doubt they would add TO while they suck.

As for the Brady comment, well I just typed up a long response, and then decided I wouldnt even post it.  All I will say is that the two QB's arent even close to being in the same league.  Thank the lord that you arent in control of the Patriots.

Edit: I hope TO get's the Barry Bonds treatment with no team willing to sign him, even for the minimum.  That would be great.

My prediction would be the Redskins.  They offered 2 first rounders last year for chad johnson.  TO could play against the cowboys 2 times a year. etc...

Can you imagine the fits defenses would have with Moss, Owens & Welker?

I laugh everytime I hear someone say the patriots should trade Brady.

I hope no one suggests that he sign with the Pats. Randy Moss is fine, he had some issues, but nothing remotely close TO's team-killing ability. TO is great for fantasy footbal where you don't have to deal with his craziness but not for a real football team.

Sign him to play Small Forward.

I second this.
Celts are a little thin at the 2/3 position.
But then we would have Marbury and Owens on the same team... How would they coexist?!

I heard that Danny and Jerry had tried to work a trade but the numbers didn't match up.

TO talks a good game and he can still play, but his hands are not so good.  Not even counting the sideshow, TO's not worth his contract with the 'boys.  He might, however, make an excellent pickup for the Pats for a lighter contract.  He's still physical and still tries.  Pats have less to fear from TO's ranting and pouting than any other team.

How would TO react to being the third receiver in the offense, behind Moss and Welker?  I don't see him being a good fit, at all.

I don't know.  TO could go off causing a chain reaction in the WRs causing Moss to go off.

More to the point, the Pats have no need for him.

Profootballtalk is speculating that your giants could be one of the few teams that push hard for him.  I hope he goes there and makes Eli cry.  :)

Not going to happen.

Giants are not interested in older WRs that causes issues.

The sad part about megatalent malcontent cancers like Owens, Iverson, Marbury, Ramirez, and Vick etc is that some idiotic GM will always throw a bunch of money at them in the hope that they'll get the talent without the cancer.  I don't know how a GM can't look and see that the teams they've been on are more productive without them than with them.

Some idiot GM will sign all of these guys so they'll never be held accountable.  Ramirez was the first.  Absurd.

1. I feel as though Allen Iverson does not deserve to be in this group. Other than the famous practice speech he hasn't been nearly as disruptive as the other premadonnas on this list.

2. It comes down to talent, even if they are cancers they are super talented (Vick is just fast not a good QB)and worth putting on your roster. IMO risk is worth any reward.

I think TO would accept a good-natured rivalry with Mos being the "first" receiver.  Could be a plus for both players and the team.  However, if he were considered third to Welker then I'd expect tantrums.
