I don't see why he's getting praised because of the contrast created from playing like crap early in the season, he's exactly where we thought he'd be at the end of last season. Is for me, anyway. He's still frail and he's still overweight, both of which I'd rather replace regardless of circumstance.
Frail? In what way?
Anyways, I also do not agree that he played like crap early in the season. He was not good offensively, but he has been the C's most consistent defensive player off the bench all season.
Emotionally. Yeah, yeah, the crying thing was passion and proof that he cares, I'd still ship his butt to the Lakers, him and Morrison would make a great duo for a daytime appearance on Oprah to discuss the trails and tribulations of their trying experiences. The guy's a clown, every single picture I've seen of the guy's face sums him up IMO. On most teams, fine, on a championship team of this caliber, there's no reason to waste time or mess around with someone like him, he's too easy to replace. There is no denying his low post D, I'm not saying this blindly, I just don't like his attitude or how he loses his head. What if he misses 2 free throws in a game 7 and breaks down? Like we said in the military, if you fail to shoot once you may fail to shoot twice so don't give the chance to have to shoot again. He's a good person, good in the locker room, blah blah, all are replaceable.
