No lead is safe with this team anymore!  I'd so glad they pulled it out.  Now please FOCUS for 48 mins on Friday!

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
A wins a win, but it shouldn't have been that close down the stretch.

Great job by all those charmers, magicians, witches, etc. who jinxed and reverse-jinxed our team to a win.

Nearly slipped away, but I will take the W.
And Pierce only needed to play 37 mins!
I think he was able to hit some of those shots at the end because he was...
(wait for it)
... rested!
Celtics fan for life.

Dam Rondo, Im sick of this guy. What the heck is he doing? 20points are great, but stop walking the ball everytime. If he can only play like devin. Be agressive.

You love the negativity, huh?
Many fans in the game thread are only happy when complaining. We're lucky the Nets had a foul to give with Perk.

Everyone knows Rondo potential is endless, he just frustrates the heck out of people. One game is aggressive, four games he's sleep walking. I'm hoping he learns from d. harris, who patent he's game after tony parker and look where he's @ now (all-star)

I'll take Rondo the champion over Harris the all-star any day.

Again. This team is embarassing. Doc is leading the charge.

its not doc's fault we can't get a stop against a team that is doing nothing but spotting up for three's.

this has been embarrassing on both ends of the floor by the starters.

Thats when you call a timeout and tell them to play defense or put someone else in.

right, because timeouts magically make it alright. and what starter would you pull when all of them are playing this poorly on D?

Pierce, Allen or Rondo. Who ever is playing the worst. Send them a message. We had a big lead, if it was done early it wouldn't have hurt.

This would work great in NBA2k9. in the real world, not so much.

Why is this Coach?

well coach, because in the real world, your starters expect to have a little bit of a leash and your trust. they make 10 times what you do (barring rondo and perk) and they expect that a championship and there average level of high play would prevent this sort of knee jerk reaction.

If Doc swung them around the way you often suggest, they would hate him, and not understand what the hell their role was or what gets them pulled of and on the floor. This would lead to resentment, as it does on alot of teams where the leaders of the team feel like there coach is a giant moron who has no idea what he's doing and doesn't trust them.

This leads to not wanting to go above and beyond and kill yourself off the floor in the weight room, mentoring young players, and practice, since your paycheck is coming either way thanks to the players union and the CBA. This leads to players tuning the coach out. This leads to failure.

Hope i summed the whole Thing up for you. If you want a better explanation of why coaches have to make sure thier star players are on board and pamper them a bit, i invite you to pick up one of the many, many, many books on the subject written by championship coaches. Though i hate the man on a personal level, Phil jackson's book about the lakers the last year they had shaq is a very good start. pat riley's book is also good.

Great job by the Captain. I hope his performance tonight motivates Doc to give him some rest to conserve energy for the clutch shots. Also kudos to Ray for having a quiet night but being kind enough to throw a the dagger at the end.

I really want KG to get back.

We miss his defensive intensity and communication.

I'm glad we own this game but we played some sorry defense tonight....real sorry.
