I hate to have to dump one of our youngs. maybe we can unload Pruitt but make a deal with him to come back next season anyway. not sure.

but we need someone nasty on our bench. and Horry fits the bill.

he also could knock down a few threes.....

the other reason to sign him is that i am very concerned about Scals. He should not even be thinking about coming back at this point.

Horry sucks.
Straight to the point and bang on the mark

Horry can't play at this level anymore, he has nothing left to offer the Celtics. It's retirement time whether he likes it or not. He's done.

Agreed. I would much rather utilize Moore, Big Baby, Powe, and Perk then get Horry. He has been washed up for a couple of years.

No thanks on Horry.  I would rather have Walker, Giddens, and Pruitt instead of him any day.  We don't need him anyway.

I don't know if Horry is the guy, but I wonder if the C's will look into trying to get an injury roster exemption for Scal (if he is in fact done for the season), and look at bringing in another veteran who can play the wing and stretch the defense.

that's a good point BBall. He's a lot nicer now. We really need to get him before he mellowed. ;D

Luther Head is out there. He's a combo guard kinda like Tony Allen sized but can shoot.

I know this isn't really the topic of the thread, but would we really miss Gabe Pruitt that much?  This is his second year in the league on a team that doesn't have a real backup PG and it's his second straight year not getting any real minutes.

While I'm not saying Horry is the answer, if someone does pop up that suits Ainge's fancy, I don't see anything wrong in cutting Gabe Pruitt.  In all likelihood he'd be available this summer; and if he wasn't, I highly doubt we're going to look back at it three years from now and mourn the day we cut Gabe Pruitt.

Honestly, I don't know if the owners are willing to eat Pruitt's contract, and bring on a new contract.  This is why I think the only way the C's bring on someone else is if Scal is done for the year, and they get a roster exception, and insurance pays for his contract for the rest of the year.

If someone needs to go to add someone, which I doubt will be done, Pruitt will be easily my first candidate.

I agree that's possible.  I just don't get some people's attachment to Pruitt.

Some people were attached to POB too.  The only thing to get is that young guys always have fans, because its always easy to look at "upside".
