No name calling here, but what Borges is is an "adversarial journalist." It's a style of journalism, and Fox News is one prime example.

His technique is to approach a beat as the adversary. Roy is correct - there will be more negativity, more sensationalizing and more injecting of the Herald into the story.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Knowing Cornbread, he probably said something along  these lines "So Rondo you hear footsteps behind you yet?" imo Marbury is a much better player then Rondo, so Rondo feels very threatened right now.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

PS guys, just because they had a disagreement doesn't mean we have to chose a side. Just becuase your a fan of Rondo doesn't mean you have to dislik Max, Rondo is cocky and stubburn and thats one his features that have led to his success, meanwhile Max is controvercial and loud and thats led to his. everything is gonna be ok.

Maybe Max just told him that he needs to take the open shot.  I know I was shouting like heck at the TV at Rondo for not shooting the [dang] ball! >:(

Edit: Even though Rondo had a great assist night, I thought the Celtics struggled because of his refusal to take the shot, which caused overpassing, shot clock violations, desperation shots by others.

Hopefully Rondo smacked Max on the back of the head and told him that Bird was CLEARLY better than Dirk.

could be anything about anything...

Anyways... I wonder about Rondo a little.  I think guys like Ray, KG and Pierce respect him, but I'm not sure they hang with him.  I read so much about how stubborn he is and how he gets into "debates" with everyone and always thinks he's right... and I wonder how much he really gets along with his teammates.

Really there is no way for me to know, because I have no idea what happens in that locker room.  All I can say is what perception I get from listening to interviews, watching games on TV and reading articles.  But I always get the impression that the big 3 are tight with each other... laugh and joke with each other on the bench...    And I'm just not building a mental image of Rondo being part of that group.   Btw... that's not necessarily a bad thing.  You don't have to get along with someone off the court to get along with them on the court.  Everyone always mentions Larry Bird as an example and how he didn't really get along with his teammates at all... but on the court they made stuff happen.

But he's undeniably talented and some of his stubbornness is probably a positive trait to his development as a leader.

rondo is stubborn and all, but the rest of the guys love him and its pretty obvious to me...Rondo and perk are pretty close from what i know and he has a good relationship with ray off the court

i look at many boston writers, most guys who write for the sox, as a disease. i could never stand them because for one i happen to hate baseball but they're like an infection stirrring up trouble with their hometown team. i dislike them for laughing at the eltics and their fans but at the same time it was good because they were clearly baseball guys,or maybe football guys.
now because of the celtics' success we get articles on hoops by.. ahahahaha. sorry it's tough without laughing but guys like masserotti, callahan, borges? ahahaha. oh and bob ryan.. bob ryan was all about the name on the back, not on the front.he bailed on the celtics before this recent resurgence. he can use whatevr excuse. he bailed on the c's. i love his globe article today in which he says "we knew we were'nt getting by cleveland or l.a...." REALLY BOB? 'WHO IS "WE"? try asking some real celtic fans. something you are not. we knew we could'nt get by them> wow. underdog is fine. that's a fair opinion to have. but to say this team has no chnace is a lie(nobody in the national media i'm sure believed this). it's a slap in the face to this team , it's coaching staff and how hard they've worked. u suck, bob ryan. get lost borges. stop messing with our team. he's probably jealous since he does'nt even follow hoops. loser.

Maybe in light of what's been going on for all of the past 48 hours, we should have some sort of consolidated Rondo Paranoia Thread.  You can be paranoid about Rondo, for Rondo, logical, illogical, justified, unjustified...anything works.  Certainly seems to be quite a bit of it floating around and I'm having a hard time keeping track of it with all these separate threads!

I guess Rondo was freaked out when they signed Cassell last year. He thought he was coming in as a replacement. Maybe it's the same thing ? If it's even anything.

He has no reason to be threatened, Im sure everyone in the franchise let him know hes the permanent starting PG before marbury came, and have clearly already made that choice last year for him to be the present and future starting celtics PG

I love Rondo. But I've heard stories about him being a cocky ****. I know for sure if Rondo wasn't a Celtic, I'll hate him with a passion. He aggravates me sometimes when he gets into it with his teammates on the court.

But since he's helping us win, Go RONDO!
