When Marbury steps on the court in front of the home crowd for the first time what do you expect to hear?

I voted for a mix of boos and cheers, but I really think the crowd will be sitting very squarely on the fence with him depending on what the immediate returns are.  I feel like all he needs to do show some hustle and go after a loose ball and he will have won the crowd over right away.

I would guess the majority would be cheers.  Even for those who are against the Marbury signing, if you're a Celtics fan, you want the team to do well.  So not much sense in booing.

Somewhere between a hardy cheer and a standing O.  Marbury is going to be a fan favorite here, until he gives the fans reason to think otherwise.  Once he puts on green and white, everything else is forgotten.

If it's not a standing ovation I will burn my season ticket.

Slightly unrelated but I hope the fans give just as big a reception to Mikki as they do to Steph-he's not as big of a sensation, but everyone's a contributor to the Celtic's family and I hope he gets to feel that way.

Good point.  It won't be his first game, but it will be his first home game.  Let's hope the fans let him here it.

Gotta expect cheers on the reception. Fans want to win and it's always exciting to add big name players to the show.

He can skip at least 1 or 2 games before worrying about boos.  :P

Starbury hasn't harmed our organization (yet.. knock on wood) so I think the fans will cheer him and probably give him a standing ovation. If anything, we should thank him for turning the Knicks into a laughingstock with his tomfoolery. Besides, I think he is the type of guy that feeds off positive vibes.

Standing ovation.  Celtics fans who attend games are a very positive bunch.  I think it's actually going to be real difficult for him to be booed while he's here.  The Celtics will bring out his strengths as a player and I think he's going to have a very successful run here.

Anyone who boos him tonight is truly an idiot and should not be allowed in the Garden.

I'm planning on cheering for both, but more for Mikki.  I think he'll become a big fan favorite.

I don't care who it is, or what he's done.
we can't change that he's here, we might as well make him feel welcome.
Standing O.

That's how I fell.  I cheer all Celtics players.
