Newest article in the globe (Q and A w/ starbury) gave me a sigh of relief after yesterday's comments about "letting his game do the talking."
Maybe he does get it...

This might not be controversial enough to get reaction!

I like what I read and it sounded like he did say all the right things. He sounds like a hungry player willing to fit into our system and I for one, can not wait to see him play in Celtic green.

Exactly!  But what he said yesterday wasn't controversial either, but it didn't stop people from trying to make it just that. ::)

haha agreed.
But unlike most, I prefer to react to positive news. So I was excited to read this article. I'm hoping he backs up his talk during the season and doesn't affect Rondo's game.

A good read.  I definitely believe him. I'm sure KG has spoken to him, has been telling him about the team, the chemistry, the unity, and about how when he came to Boston, he has already made enough money to last him even past his death, and now everything is about winning that ring, to cement yourself in NBA history.  If Marbury can play well, doesn't cause any major headaches, I would definitely love the Celtics to explore the possibility of resigning him (if possible).

It was a good read and it did sound genuine.  That quote from yesterday killed me.  Maybe I took it out of context and misunderstood it.  I took it as him thinking "well once they see how good i am, i will no longer be a role player off the bench" when it could have meant "I trust that Doc will judge my playing well enough to choose a role to best help us win a title."  I guess nobody can know for sure, but this interview today is a positive.

He's saying all the right things, which is a huge improvement.  When was the last time Starbury said ANY of the right things?

As I said in a different thread, if Marbury ultimately gained the sensibility to negotiate his buyout so that he could come to Boston, you'd have to think he has enough of a grasp on reality to make this work. This interview is certainly a good sign.
