If the Cs sign Marbury the roster will be back up to 15 players, but we'll still have a somewhat glaring hole at the 3 behind PP.

Is it possible the Cs will look to add another player? Here's a list of potentials in order of priority:

1) Stackhouse: It sounds like he won't be bought out, and he maybe valuable as a trade chip this summer (only $2mil of his expiring deal is guaranteed next year). However, if he's willing to cut a fair amount of salary it could save Cuban luxury tax. I don't think it's happening;

2) Q Ross: He's hanging out on the Grizz making minimal money on a one year deal. As has been noted here, i'm a little surprised we didn't send them a 2nd rounder for the guy. That said, Wallace should owe the Cs for their loyalty, and with a wink we could owe them a little something later. He'd be a great fit -- we cut pruitt to add him;

3) Dave Noel, Jackie Manual, Othyus Jeffers (D League): Sign a solid defender with ltd upside from the NBDL. My choice here would be Jeffers -- he could get very good -- but this is also not likely. Probably just stick with Giddens and Walker in this case and see what happens;

4) Bonzi Wells: With Marbury on the team, I just don't see it. Too much risk of rebellion. He's probably fat anyway;

5) Hope TA and / or Scal is healthy enough to play in the playoffs: Probably the most likely scenerio, while hoping one of the two kids plays / shows some game over the next month. Pretty scary tho...

Anyone else see options or guys who may get bought out?

Well, first, let me clarify that the C's can still sign someone after March 1st, and have them on their playoff roster.  They just need to be cut by March 1st.

As for the question, I think it is absolutely possible, and with this Pruitt issue, it just became more likely (although still a long shot).

If they do sign someone, I expect it to be a veteran though, so you can scratch those D-league guys.  If they are going to play a D-leaguer, it will be Walker or Giddens.

I actually could see them kick the tires of Bryan Russell.  If he has anything left in the tank (big if), he would give them exactly what they want.  Defense and shooting from a veteran who has been there before.

I didn't mention Fred Jones, but he looks like he's staying in LA.

I think the most interesting possibility is Ross. The Grizz are going nowhere, and if the Cs were willing to give him the prorated vet min he could make more than he's making now, and thus buy himself out of his whole salary, saving Heisley like $250k.

The idea is fine, but the talent pool sucks.  Theres nobody on that list that would help at all.

I don't see either of them being bought out.

I don't see either of them being bought out.

Plus, if Ross was put on waivers, I'm sure another team would pick him up for a minimum salary.
