Well, sure KG was out, PP got hurt and of course should have sat..a broken hand takes how long to heal??? PP was fiddiling and diddling too much, trying to do too much alone.....why try to take the "hero" shot when your hand is out and you have been off all night...What about an alley-oop to Perk, Leon, Rondo..? Ray Allen is a shhoter you know....Marcus Camby and Zach R ate us up inside..hmmm too bad we didn't have a 7 footer to put on either...like maybe Moore to box out Camby...all the time..? Or should he sit...like POB, until Doc thinks he is no longer a rookie, maybe 3 years from now.....until Doc feels "safe" with him......Doc doesn't coach, okay that is my belief....is it impossible to tell PP to save the hand for the night, or was he faking...TA's hand put him out, Ray A's hand surely hasn't healed 100%...Perk and Powe had 5 fouls, so they played back a little...but no Moore....again, like vs LA, lack of height killed us.....With PP hurt it was a perfect chance to put a slasher/dunker Like Walker in.....a few fast points, make the "D" tired, give PP a break...noooo, Doc couldn't chance that.....could chance the loss, but can't chance some substitutions for hurt or foul plagued players.....! Again, that is just my opinion...I hate to lose to these teams....I mean the Clips do have a lot of talent there, but there is a reason they are where they are, head cases, players that are just happy to get $$$ and fool aroud playing hoop!!!! Hey, wait a minute, that does sound good!

Doc is like a baby with plenty of toys. But the baby has 2-3 toys that he/she really likes. So the baby overuses those toys until they break. And that's exactly what doc does with Ray & PP. PP "Mr. Hero" Ray "Watchman" were done by in the 4th Q of that game.

I wonder if Mike Brown would've done the same thing, NO. Lebron AKA "The Beast" is playing 3-4 less minutes than last year. Which means come playoff time Coach Brown is going to unleash him. While our big3 drag themselves to the playoffs.

I just hope winning @ any cost doesn't hurt us DOC RIVERS!

Watching the game, I came across with the same impression, but for different reasons. I watched a Clippers team have no fear in driving the lane, knowing that their shots wouldn't be contested or challenged by Leon and BBD.

It's quite different to make a move on the guy guarding you and then have to elevate over a 6'8" defender or a 7' guy with reach.

Height was definitely a problem. Hopefully the addition of Moore and the return of KG and Scal in the next couple of weeks will solve that. In the meantime Doc needs to manage Paul and Ray's minutes. Apart from the Denver game the starters have played some heavy minutes and even in the Denver game up 30 Ray was still playing in the 4th quarter where he could have been seriously hurt. With their starters out how much damage could be done by playing Walker the whole quarter?
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I think the problem with last night had absolutely nothing to do with height. I think it had to do with these factors

1.) The team was mentally already on the plane home after not being home for three weeks.

2.) Careless unforced turnovers

3.) The Celtics facillitating the offense through Pierce and Allen in the first half. Rondo brought up the ball handed it off and didn't see it again for clearly 75% of the first half plays. Don't know for sure but it sure looked liked Pierce went to Doc and said, "I'm hoime and have Mardy Collins on me. Just give me the ball and get out of the way" before the game and Doc let him try to win the game for them early.

4.) The defensive effort was pathetic in the first half and the fourth quarter.

5.) The team is missing KG, Scal, Allen, and for a little while Pierce last night. I don't like Allen's game but he and Scal and KG bring continuity to this team that was definitely missing last night.

No, I don't think height had a thing to do with last night's loss. Just a ton of factors that when added up meant an L in the loss column.

I have no qualms with the loss. The schedule makers haven't been that kind with the Celtics up until this point in the year. They lead the league in games played and road games played. They were just away from home for over 2-1/2 weeks and yet went 4-2 on a tough 6 game roadie. That's not too bad.

They play 13 of the final 23 at home and have maybe 5 tough games the rest of the year. 64-66 wins are not out of the question and given the roster they had for most of this season, that's about 4-6 wins ahead of where I would have put them to start the year.

I agree this is a problem. What's worse is when Paul or Ray bring the ball up (especially Paul) and try to score without passing the ball once. I'd be surprised if our scoring efficiency was more than 80% of it's usual value when they do that.
