I see some think that this was a trap game. But with little room for error this season, this cannot happen. I dont care that we have a few guys out, this is a team we should beat with no matter what the circumstances are. The cavs are not losing "trap games" as much as we are. Its not the end of the world, but I think its safe to say that this years team is lacking intensity. I just hope they pick it up in the playoffs. Really I dont see the point in watching until the playoffs if this is how they are going to p--- away hc >:(

We also need to wait and see what happens with the rest of the season before we declare that we won't have HCA. The second KG was out you knew it would be a tough 2/3 weeks. I don't see any reason to let doom and gloom wash over us yet.

We still have two more matchups with Cleveland. Patience! If we win both, we have the tie breaker. That was a terrible loss last night and I hate excuses but they were missing players due to injury, playing a guy significant minutes who just met the team hours before the game, and their minds were clearly half way back to the right coast. I would not characterize their play of late from that game. An anomally since their 2-7 stretch.

This made me chuckle.  I love the confidence though.  Now if you could kindly back it up with some thoughts as to why this would be

Ha!  Well, I can't debate that.

Not sure you guys should be throwing the towel in on home court yet either.  Still plenty of games to play.

Nothing like a nice overreaction to start off the morning.  As tempting as it is to say that the quest for HCA is over with 23 games remaining (27 for the Cavs) and having two more wins and losses than the Cavs  ::) , I'm gonna have to disagree with you.  Granted, it stinks that they've lost games to the Pacers, Knicks, Warriors, Bobcats and Clippers (did I miss anyone).  And in a race where HCA will most likely come down to a couple games, losses like that really hurt.

I will say bye bye to HCA when there if there is one game left and we're 2 back of the Cavs.  Other than that, I see no reason why the Celtics can't still do it.  And if they don't, I'm not worried.  As Doc said, he'd take a 7th seed at 100% than a #1 seed at 75%.  If we play the Cavs, which barring injuries seems like almost a foregone conclusion, it's going to be tough whether we have HCA or not.  But as much as has been written about their road struggles last year, when they finally NEEDED a road win, they got it.  I have all the confidence in the world that a healthy Celtics team can beat anyone else in the league, home or away.  If you're not, than you obviously don't think the Celtics are a championship-caliber team.
