  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
This is a pretty good sign for us, and a bad sign for the Pistons. I think they are close to imploding. The team chemistry, is what made McDyess return to the Pistons. If he says he's considering leaving it's most likely because of chemistry issues. The pre-Iverson Pistons were like brothers, and AI probably killed that. I remember Hamilton saying after the trade if he knew it was going to happen he wouldn't have signed an extension, or something along those lines. If guys like McDyess, and Wallace want to play on a true contending "team" with almost the same type of chemistry, we've got to top the list.

Sheed would be great. Imagine sheed coming off the bench while rondo allen and house are in the game. Rondo would get 10 assists per minute while the team average 30 points on three pointers.

In all seriousness Sheed would be great for this team, however Im not so sure him and Starbury could handle each others egos playing on the same second unit if Marb stuck around.

It would be great to have Rasheed Wallace play for the Cs.  I doubt marbury is sticking around, so not worried about them clashing...

I have a need for Sheed.

McDyess, Smith, Pachulia are next in line for the 4/5 position.

If we fail to get one of those four, then i'd be looking this pool over: Moore, Gooden, Wilcox, Nesterovic, Swift
Sheed would be my top pick as well if he will sign for reasonable money.

I think we have an inside track now on resigning Mikki Moore unless he wants too much money.

The players you listed will be off the markey very quickly IMO so hesitating or playing the market like we did with Posey would be a big big mistake. Really there is no reason not sign any of these guys except for money and will they accept a backup role? Most will at this stage of their career as long as they are convinced we are going to win.

My big question becomes, are any of them going to be cheaper than Leon Powe or Glen Davis? Are they really worth more? This is a time to lock in a longer contract if possible with the potential economic future. How long do we tie up our money? Some of these guys are not getting any younger.
