You think we'll cut someone else or take his as an assistant coach?
Yes I think if Sam wants to be an assistant coach for the Celtics he could call Doc this morning and get the job. The question is, does Sam still want to be a player?

He spoke earlier in the 2nd of the Clippers game and didnt seem definite that he would play again. He said he'd done all he wanted to do and if his play time was over he'd be happy. I agree with him.
When asked if he'd take on an assistant coach role, it seemed to me that he's definitely interested and is waiting for the opportunity.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale

Former Celtic Sam Cassell was at last night's game. Rivers said he would like to add him to the team as an assistant, but Cassell, who was recently traded to Sacramento and was later waived, still wants to play. "I'm still waiting [to hear from a team],' said the 39-year-old Cassell.

Which teams who would sign him? I think Denver is the only one.

According to this blog I have been led to believe that Cassell have been a great locker room guy, and if that is true then the right move would be to get him back.

Regardin Marbury, this is his last chance to show that he was right along the way, and to show that he has a future within the NBA.  If he can show that he is the person he led us to believe in the beginning through the last 3-4 months of the season, then he will have a chance to come back.  I most certainly cannot believe he is that stupid to ruin this chance of his to get a ring and be a part of the NBA history in a big way with this chance he is getting.  I simply refuse to believe he will be a failure!  (watch this space!)
