Did anybody see this? Down 1 against the 76ers and Harris flings it up from half court (after almost losing the ball) as time expires and hits the shot. Truly the best game winner I have ever seen in my life, just incredible.

(I can't find a video yet, so I'd appreciate it if someone could provide it when they find one)

That short was ridiculous.  I felt SO bad for the Sixers.

That must have hurt. This had to be the 5th or 6th time this season they've lost on a game winner.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I saw that and thought to myself, No Way!!!!!!!

Philly coach: "If we would just make our free throws, we would not give ourselves a chance to be beaten on a circus shot."

Apparently you've never heard of "Miracle Milt" Palacio.

Agreed.  Milt's was the best

I don't know.  Milt's was great because it was the only good thing to happen to that team that year, but Harris had a guy in his face and was shooting from a tough angle on top of the distance (a straight on shot is much much easier on the long distance shots)
Yup

Gotta disagree with you on this one Redz.  Everyone's talking about how crazy it was for all that to happen in 1.8 seconds.  Well how about imagining all that happening in less than 2 seconds, and your team isn't starting with the ball.  It was like the Ray Allen three against the Bobcats last year, except the Nets were inbounding at center court, and Milt hit an off balance shot from almost half court.  You're never gonna see that again.

When Devin Harris develops a nick-name for that shot, then come talk to me.  ;)

Also, how can you say that Milt's shot was the only good thing that happened that season?  Rick Pitino resigned a couple weeks later.  8)

You know what CW, I'd forgotten about the steal aspect of Milt's game winner (I was thinking of the shot itself).  I'll stick by my guns that Harris' was the better shot, but yeh, Milt's was the better play.  TP to you for freshening up my memory (that seems to be happening more often lately  ::) )
Yup
