It's going to be tough beating anyone without him.

I just hope he can play at a high level again by the playoffs. Non contact injuries, especially in an area that has been a chronic problem can be bad.

Because Phoenix is a powerhouse for scoring 140 on the clippers twice, right?

Yeah, Id say we can assume KG won't play sunday, and he shouldnt, and this team, is what, 12-3 without him? not having KG isnt an excuse, especially last night when we shouldve won regardless, I mean we were playing a team that played bad basketball for 48 minutes..we shouldve won last night

At this point can we stop living and dying with every game agaisnst the likes of the suns and jazz? health is going to be the most important thing, andf KG needs rest...homecourt means nothing if KG is hurt

either 1. it is really bad. or 2. it is just a minor thing and boston is being very anal with it. i am hoping 2. i hope he can go sunday v the suns but i doubt he will play because it will be a very uptempo style. doesn't bode well for boston right now...a team that is just beat up...tony, ray, pierce, KG, perk, scal all have been hurt in the last month. and they have zero wiggle room with the cavs on their heels...but boston should have won last night and they need to finish games like that. i understand about resting KG but in the process there are other guys who are getting worn out (like PP)

Who cares about the Cavs, honestly..we're either going to beat them or not, and if the celtics can play there best basketball they can and will beat the cavs at home...Im sick of this notion that its the end of the world everytime the celtics lose because of what the cavs are doing.
I dont think the celts are being anal about the KG injury, they did the right thing last night and should possibly sit him a week+, his knee has clearly been a lingering problem all year, from the game in washington months ago when deScrub stevenson fell on his leg, ive seen him  have  a slight limp in just about every game since then.
Pierces minutes are a concern right now, and its so blatant that maybe its doc sending a message to danny? because I cant remember a stretch in this era where pierce played 43+ minutes in 3 straight regular season games, but we have no other choice...all of a sudden its Pass to Pierce and pray all over again and last night he just missed shots he usually makes...it happens...but they shouldve done something else after consecutive bricks

I care about having homecourt against the Cavs.

What we all have to remember is that, while getting the #1 seed and home court is very important, having a healthy rested team going into the playoffs is what's most important for this team.  I'd rather have a healthy team with the #2 seed than a tired, banged up #1 seed limping into the playoffs.

It's true the Celtics didn't start out good on the road in the playoffs, but they got 3 road wins against the Pistons and Lakers in the last two rounds last year.  If the Celtics are healthy and playing their best ball, they'll beat anyone, home or away.  Having the #1 seed definitely improves their chances of repeating, but not at the expense of health.

Exactly...
And Id say it isnt looking good about now just because of the disparity in how the refs treat each team

Now if this was an injury that was bothering him for the last few weeks, then why did he play in the all star game? It might have been better to take that full week. Im not saying that is why last night happend, but if the guys hurt he needs to rest.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

He played less than 20 minutes and took 5 jumpshots...big deal
hes been playing through the knee pain all season, there was no reason to sit out the asg

Agreed.  If he was hurting, he should not have played in the all-star game.

If he wanted to sit out the all star game, then he shouldve sat out in new orleans and dallas, would you have liked that?
why didnt ray sit out? because its suppose to be an honor for these guys to go their and represent the boston celtics...I dont regret them playing, they didnt hurt themselves in that game or hurt our chances for the rest of the year, they play tougher basketball than that in practice

He hurt his knee in less than 20 minutes. It is a big deal. It was the ****' all star game, an exhibition.  KG should not have played in it.
