i think hands down
I think the more interesting question is whether you'd rather have Granger or Pierce right now considering Granger is 5 1/2 years younger.

I think Granger MAY (may...) be a better scorer right now then Pierce. But Pierce is a better basketball player.

Granger is good, but the only thing he can do better is dunk. period.

I would make the trade - maybe not on skill alone, but age and contract are considerations too.

No.  Pierce doesn't seem to really play all the time anymore.  When he wants to take over games we've seen him do it plenty last season and this season.

Granger is great but Pierce is clutch and when he's on he's virtually unstoppable.

Perhaps a better scorer, better 3pt shooter, surely a better shot-blocker. Pierce is superior on everything else and much better defensively.

I love Granger's Game but he is not @ PP level yet. PP was a complete player when arrived to the league while granger took 2 full years to develop. Granger is up one on PP in his defense. You guys know that Granger took sorta of the same path as JR excluding the legal part.

I'm glad you aren't the GM - because I'd legit cancel my season tickets for next year.
God bless and good night!

Okay, JR Giddens, let me put it nice and simple for you. If we had Granger instead of Pierce last year, we wouldn't win the finals or even get out of the second round.

If we have Granger instead of Pierce this year, Id be surprised if we get the 3rd seed in the east.

Sorry to break it to ya, but basketball isn't all about scoring, JR.

Pierce was putting up better numbers when he was the lone star on a sub 500 team.

Pierce put up about 24.9 ppg in the three years that they were without Walker and under .500.

This year Granger is averaging 25.4 ppg.

Look at rebounding, assist.

I'm glad you aren't the GM - because I'd legit cancel my season tickets for next year.

We won a title. For me, 18 would be icing on the cake. But we can't mortgage the future. You can't have your cake and eat it too (all these cake references are making me hungry). At what point do we start thinking about rebuilding from the Big 3? If the opportunity to trade PP for Granger straight up arises, why not take it (if you are thinking about more than the next year or two)?

if we're going to dish someone for the future there is NO WAY it is going to be Paul Pierce, his number will be retired, he will be top 2 in scoring, he stuck with this team through the hard times, thats not how you treat your players... especially the face of the team for a decade.

Because the Celtics are a major title contender now and Pierce is a big reason why.

Don't look to blow up the team to early.
