I think this is fantastic news for us!  TA is not the player the organisation thinks he is and should be traded ASAP. This means there is more playing time for Walker, Scal or whoever Doc Rivers decides to give the extra time.  He cannot for sure load more time on the starters for crying outloud, but it just might happen!

While I really don't like Tony Allen, I'm left wondering who is going to guard the likes of LeBron James, Joe Johnson, Rodney Stuckey in they playoffs.  Pierce can take them most of the time, but who takes them while he's on the bench?  Ray can get out-muscled, Scal is too slow, and Pruitt's too small and too skinny.  Allen, far from perfect, could at least play tough, physical defense.

This one is easy. We do just what we did last time that TA rolled his ankle.

Gabe gets backup time at the point, House gets backup at the 2, and Scal plays the three. He should be fine by now.

The result will be the same. A 2nd unit that plays better.

Hopefully when Pierce takes a seat, so will Lebron, Joe J and Kobe. I can't imagine those guys playing 48 minutes a game.   :)

What if Pierce picks 2 quick fouls? Or Ray Allen?

I'm not Tony Allen biggest fan, but this is horrible. We don't have a backup swingman. Who are people expecting to play that role? House and Scal? Seriously?

I was all about Tony Allen leaving last offseason.  However, that was before Danny Ainge decided to let Posey walk and not get any other replacement. 

While I'd be happy not to see Tony Allen on the team next year, I'd prefer to see him guard LeBron James with Pierce in foul trouble than Scal, House, or Pruitt.

Bite the bullet and use Walker, we don't really have another choice at this point. Ainge will either bring in a big, or bring in a swingman, but he can't bring in both.

Really, though... best to break Billiam in before the playoffs, and see if he can offer anything in a 10-15 minute a night role this year. This idea that we'll lose more games with Walker just doesn't add up for me. I think we're better off playing Bill 10 minutes or so instead of Tony 20-25 a night. He's just a detrimental.

Is there a possibility Ainge calls up JR? I would love to JR/Walker compete for some of TA minutes while Gabe gets most of those minutes.
