Works on the Trade Checker:

BOS send PoB, TA to OKC
BOS send JR Giddens, and BBD to LAC
LAC send Mardy Collins to Brian Skinner to OKC
OKC sednd Joe Smith to BOS

Rationale:

PoB...well, you probably already know the answer for BOS, but why would OKC do it? Larry Brown likes to teach more than anything. What better project than PoB?

TA...a Larry Brown kinda player, thinks defense first. Plus contract expires shortly.

JR and BBD: JR has some athleticism and talent, and BBD has shown his abilities pretty well. For BOS, JR has yet to play and probably won't. May hurt in the long term, but definitely not this year (or next?). At the end of the season it's gonna be Leon or BBD, they won't sign both.

What do you guys think? Feedback welcomed.

TA (or Powe), Scal and cash for Joe Smith.

Is it possible that they would buy out Scal and he could return to the Celtics, even though he has another year left on his contract?  Not sure how that would work.

How would Larry Brown teach those guys in OKC from Charlotte?

Also, it's well documented that Larry Brown is a "Veteran player" coach and does not like developing at all... but I digress.

Yet he has developed players almost everywhere he has gone.

He like developing players.

He doesn't like playing young players.

I'd be fine with this trade BUT (this might sound strange) we need Scal.  Smith would be a great pickup but if we send scal a packin' who do we have to backup PP except Walker?  I'm all for giving walker the chance though, imo not many teams are going to want allen unless they REALLY need a slasher

That's why I suggested the cash to buy Scal out and return to the team.  I guess Roy could tell us if it's possible given Scal has another year on his contract.
