Not sure if this is posted here yet. Good KG interview with Gary Payton and Craig Sager. Talks among other things Gary Payton's saying KG should not be a starter and about Rondo as well.

GP spends so much time justifying himself... it's really annoying.  Oh we were just trying to light a fire under Rondo... Who the heck's we?  CWebb had no part of the Rondo bashing.  And why did he have to bring back the Laker losses?

I know, they just had to bring up the 2 losses. I hope they brought up with Kobe how they lost in the finals. Doubt that will happen though.  ::)

Thanks for the link. It was a great interview, good for laughs and informative (hearing what KG said when he was serious). As to Payton, I've read about some of the stuff he's said, but haven't heard him. From this interview I take that he means no harm, is maybe playing "devil's advocate" or is just trying to stir up interest through controversy when he's on TV.

Should add to the above. Imagine what it means to Rondo to have a future Hall Of Famer and veteran player be so complimentary. For those who don't get Boston broadcasts, KG and Pierce do post-game interviews after home games and KG has been saying these things about Rondo all year. Pierce too.

Why is it that every interview that involves Craig Sagar, his wardrobe gets clown?

Never mind. That dude's a horrible dresser. Ugly looking shoes!

Sagar's wardrobe is to fashion what Payton's comments are to logic.

Very well spoken, and so humble.  Great pickup TNT.  I miss Barkley, thank God he's coming back soon.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Gary Payton as an NBA commentator talks more about himself than he does the entire NBA.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

I think Pierce was sold on Rondo since his rookie year, and Rondo has convinced everyone else.

I'm glad that Payton brought up the Lakers. It seems the Celtics feel like they were reffed out of that game. It's good that they don't feel they were truly beaten, but bad that it's somewhat of an excuse.

If I never saw anything but this interview with Payton, I would think he is a big Rondo fan.  Kind of like a big brother, everything he has said in the past was just to motiviateget Rondo to play better.

If I never saw anything else I would feel this way, but I have seen the other stuff so now I think Payton is just trying to save face.  Can't say much after that triple double Rondo just put up.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class
