Meh, home court is nice but it is far to early to scoreboard watch too hard.

Can't be upset with the C's overall performance for the season. I just hope we come together quicker in the playoffs, especially if we don't have home court through out the playoffs.

A couple of BS calls down the stretch but the Jazz win anyway. Its been a good couple of days for underdogs being shafted by the reffing.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Kobe took some really poor shots in the 4th.  The only time he passed the ball in the last 3 minutes (besides in desperation to Derek Fisher) was to the block really quick to get a reset for himself.

It was kind of funny to watch Laker fan screaming "WHY KOBE! DUMB SHOT! YOU HAVE A TEAM!"

Is anyone else worried that the Celtics are becoming the new Red Sox?

-People following the Lakers and Cavs games like they are the Yankees.
-The expectations: Championship or bust.

What happened to just enjoying that your team plays good basketball? Sometimes I wish that the Celtics didn't play in Boston (j/k...well, maybe not).

what's up with teams missing their foul shots in the 4th against these guys?  it feels like every time a team has a late lead on LA, they proceed to shoot about 60% from the line.  drives me crazy..

It doesnt make the game against dallas any more or less important, celtics just gotta worry about themselves and take care of buisness
When you got it going, you got it going. I just keep my focus down the stretch. That's when I want the ball. I'm just not afraid to fail."-PaulPierce

Kobe was 14-33 tonight. Yikes that's some serious ball hogging right there. And once again he did the Cassell dance and his team lost. Honestly that dance needs to be retired. Its stupid when there's enough time on the clock for the other team to win. Guess he didn't feel foolish enough the last time.

That's hilarious. You'd think someone would learn from being embarassed on national TV, but I guess not.

Doing that dance before the game is even decided is like hitting a homerun in the top of the ninth and having a walk-off celebration. It just doesn't make sense. Get back out there and play, idiot.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I've always thought that would be hilarious.  It wouldn't make us look good as fans but who cares the rest of the country hates us already.  I'd love to see how ABC or TNT would try to edit it out with their 2 second delay thing, they thought monitoring KG was bad.

Oh yeah, and I'm glad the Lakers lost.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

  • Yup
So after all of the sky falling of last week, the Celts are a game behind on LA and a game and a half up on Cleveland.

Another win streak and the C's are back in biz for the top seed.

It's such a long season.

Honestly I think we're still on a winning streak. Especially if we can finish tonight with a win over the Mavericks.

15 - 2 would be a pretty good stretch, with the only two losses by single digits to SA and LAL. Not a bad 17 game stretch, I can live with that ratio the rest of the season  ;).

Heck even 14 - 3 is good. Now after the all-star break I think we need to do well on the second half of the road trip and we'll be set to hold onto the number one seed.

I agree, seeing that Okur hit a 3 after and mocked his dance in his face.I laughed at that one.
