According to this article Charlotte and Indiana are working on this trade

Char sends : Felton, Mohammed and Sean May

Ind  sends : Tinsley , Foster

Do you think there is anything the Celtics could do to get into a 3way trade with these teams to land Foster in Boston ?
I have come up with a few trades with these 2 teams that would land Foster here, let me know what you think

1)

Bos gets: Jeff Foster

Char gets: tinsley , TA, Scal Giddens Bos 2nd rd pick

Ind gets : May, Felton, Mohammed

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2753~2776~568~250~1024~2367~3429~1021&teams=11~11~11~2~30~30~30~30&te=&cash=

or

2)  same trade as #1 , but we send Powe instead of Giddnes.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2753~2776~568~250~1024~2367~3023~1021&teams=11~11~11~2~30~30~30~30&te=&cash=

I think the second trade might be agreed to on all sides. I hate to lose Powe , but chances are we might lose him after this season anyways because he will be an UFA. Foster gives us a legit 7' who can rebound, defend and give tons of hustle and energy.

Of course if we did one of these trade we would likely have to sign a free agent swing man. I would love to see Bonzi Wells brought in . Also with TA gone Bill Walker might be able to get some playing time to see what he can do.

What do you guys think?

What is Charlotte doing? This organization is running around like a chicken with its head chopped off. They are easily the laughing stock of the league.

you won't be saying that when Scal is having to pick up Dwight Howard Big Z and Gasol when that playoffs come. I love what Scal has done this year, but Jeff Foster is exactly what this team needs at the backup big man positions ..

Felton is an expiring if they wish so. Or they can opt for keeping him and trade Jack or even Ford.

Tinsley for Nazr would be a steal for Indiana. Nazr has less money left on his contract and can still play garbage time and scrimmages.

What is Charlotte doing? This organization is running around like a chicken with its head chopped off. They are easily the laughing stock of the league.

Yeps, getting rid of valuable contributors like Morrison, Dudley, Brown, Richardson and now trying to dump Sean May, Nazr while getting some value for Felton instead of allowing him to walk away for nothing is inconceivable.

Assuming the IND/CHA trade is real. Why does CHA give up three years of foster at a reasonable price for Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine? But even if they were to save money and get a second round pick (that DA won't want to include) - why does Indy do it? I think it'd be better for the C's to trade BBD instead of Powe too, given what Foster brings to the table as the first big off the bench.

But if I'm CHA and I want to dump Nazr why not offer him straight up for Scal and Tony? And then let Felton expire? They can't really like Tinsley or Foster that much.

Oh, this deal is reportedly dead.

And why would the C's do that?

good question - but i guess it depends on how desperate CHA thinks BOS is for a serviceable big off the bench.

Nazr is not a serviceable big, he can't play NBA basketball anymore. He's just deadweight.

Maybe we can get something from the Pacers.

Pacers Have Lost $200M?

The Indiana Pacers have lost a staggering amount of money, according to a team executive.

"Almost every year [Mel and Herb Simon] have owned the team, they've lost money. The cumulative losses probably approach something in the neighborhood of $200 million," said Pacers Sports and Entertainment President Jim Morris.

I would be interested in these guys:

Jeff Foster
Marquis Daniels
Travis Deiner
Jarrett Jack

Foster could make a valuable backup defensive big for the celtics.  Don't expect much offense out of him but his rebounding and defense are supposedly pretty decent.  That will also help us alot if KG or Perkins (mose likely culprit) gets into foul trouble.

No they won't.  Not for the players we would be asking for.  It's not like we are asking for Granger.
