To me, it makes a ton of sense, and I've not heard it rumored.

They could send Phoenix Wally, Hickson, a first, maybe cash (which cheap Phoenix owner is always interested in).

I think putting Amare with Cleveland would make them clear favorites to win it all.

Cleveland would still have Snow's contract if they chose to tinker any more (though their chemistry is already really good).

I said this the other day. Well actually I said its a really scary thought and Danny Ferry should not do that.

Indeed, why do you think Ferry should not do that (other than his desire to see the Cs win another title)?

amare would probably spell doom for us but i would think a team would be reluctant to trade such a player to play with lebron. you don't wanna HELP lebron and the cavs win 5 titles in a row or somethin crazy.

I guess that I'm missing the obvious, but why would Phoenix do that?  Several teams have expiring contracts, plus better young players than J.J. Hickson and a pick between #28 and #30 in the draft.  Why make a trade just to help out Cleveland?

Phoenix wouldn't do that Cleveland trade for JJ Hickson . I think the Knicks should try to trade for Amare . They can do this trade and still have a lot of cap room in the future.

So even if the Knicks don't sign Lebron in the future , maybe they can get Wade to pair with Amare .

Cleveland just does not have the bullets. Wally, Hickson, and a late first rounder for the best offensive big in basketball?

Do they bite on Scal, House, TA and Powe?

That was the reason why I didn't want Ferry to do it.

I don't think Phoenix does that; there's too much salary coming back, and they probably want a young guy who isn't about to cash in, I would imagine.

Stoudamire would ruin the cavs defensive nature. I can't see the cavs pulling off this trade without having to add anderson v or wallace, so they immediatley lose some hustle and rebounding there.

I completely agree, but stranger, stupider deals have been made over the past few years.  The same things could have been said about the Lakers sending Caron Butler to Washington for Kwame Brown, and also the Gasol trade.  The Marion trade also.

I guess the only way is if people have soured enough on Amare.

I think the most likely one is Yi, another player (Lopez or Anderson), Jarvis Hayes, Stro Swift, a first for Amare.

It doesn't take NJ out of the Lebronstakes, and makes them pretty darn decent even now.

Marion + Beasley gets it done too but Id be surprised if Riley pulled that trigger.

Chicago keeps getting floated around but Im just not sold.
