Lakers trade Radmanovic for Morrison and Brown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Charlotte Bobcats sent struggling forward Adam Morrison and reserve Shannon Brown to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday for forward Vladimir Radmanovic.

The move is the third trade the Bobcats have made this season in a roster shakeup under first-year coach Larry Brown.

Morrison was the third overall pick of the 2006 draft and managing partner Michael Jordan's first major move since buying into the Bobcats. But Morrison had failed to crack the starting lineup and his minutes had declined under Brown.

Morrison will give the Lakers an outside shooting threat, while the 6-foot-10 Radmanovic gives the Bobcats more depth up front.

For LA, I think so.  Vlad Rad was pretty horrible and sort of useless behind Walton and Ariza. 

Getting anything for him has to be considered an upgrade.

I'd have to say the Bobcats. Radmanovic is an outside threat, probably more so than Morrison, and Shannon Brown... well... he's Shannon Brown.

Vlad is probably an 8th or 9th man. Morrison and Brown are 10th men or worse.

Lakers win.

Vlad Rad had a contract they wanted to get rid of.  They did it and got two terrific college players that are still in the beginning of their NBA careers.  If both can develop into decent players, that is huge... if only 1 does, they still win... if neither do, they still get the cap relief.

Radmanovic has reached his peek.  Morrison has not.  I don't like this trade as a Celts fan as I do feel it improves the Lakers.

I can only hope Danny's on the phone with OK City as we speak...

it's a good move for LA...

some of you forget that this game is just as much mental as it is physical...so, you're adam morrison today and you've learned you got traded to the lakers - how do you mentally process that?

also, we forget this guy has been injured - his better days are ahead of him...i personally feel the lakers got a steal in this move (and brown's pretty decent too).

I think Adam Morrisson still has a high upside as quick scorer off the bench.  LB had no use for him due to his defensive limitations. I think Phil Jackson sees something in him. I really know next to nothing about Brown.  Is that the kid from Michigan?

I don't know about thit one. Its a crabby deal for both. Lakers got 2 young players that probably won't see any minutes behind (Odom, Farmar, Ariza, Powell). Bobcats got a player that is a deadly outside shot but is clumsy on defense, Phil Jackson calls him space cadet.

If Morrison's defense the case, I can't begin to imagine what use Brown could possibly have for Radmanovic.  If I were Radmanovic, I'd take the idiot Jackson's word as a complement.

I don't know what to make of this trade for either team.  I'd lean toward the Bobcats getting the better of this.

I liked Morrison and I dislike the Lakers, looks like I don't like Morrison anymore.
