This beats the hell out of that WNBA/Legends shooting competition.  Hopefully they're getting rid of that.

  • The good ole days.
I'm actually a little worried about it... I think HORSE is much more fun to play than to watch.  And are they going to allow fancy dunks?  Otherwise it's going to be a lot of nonchalant jumpshots, kicking the ball at the rim, bouncing it in, etc... don't think it'll be all that exciting.

Glad they're at least giving it a try though.

Doesn't sound like it'll be anything worth watching. But like you said it's better than WNBA/Legends competition. Too bad they can't just swap the two competitions.

Will this be H-O-R-S-E in the vein of those Larry Bird vs. Michael Jordan McDonald's commercials?  If so, this could take a while.  Does the winner get fries?

I like the Idea
pretty darn good things can come from a horse game

Love it
really
what worries me is time issues
you cant control the time in a horse game without a stupid time rule

Will see.....

p.S. yes i think larry vers. jordan too..lol

this could be a really good thing or a really bad thing.  if ur the nba, u have to make sure u get good players for it that will make it fun/exciting for the fans the first year. hopefully they get it right

I think it sounds a lot better than it will be.  Maybe PIG would be better with more players involved.

They did this in the 77-78 season, but it was over the course of the whole year. Pete Maravich pretty much owned everybody, but had to withdraw from the finals due to injury. I think it's an interesting idea. I just hope they invite Dirk and Nash. Back in their Maverick days, Dirk and Nash would stay after practice to play a game of horse, which usually went for more than an hour because no one would miss.

People have been calling for this for years. It should be way more fun than the stupid skills competition. Hopefully it's something like that youtube video, because that was pretty fun to watch.
