We all know that Wade is given superman calls beyond what he gets in the regular season in the playoffs.

My question is who can beat Miami in the playoffs when he is getting those calls outside a healthy Bos, Clev or Orlando?  (I am shaky about Orlando)

Detroit can beat them, imo.

The way they are playing now?  With AI leading the defensive charge at Wade instead of Billups?

I'd be a little shaky on Orlando too.  With Wade's ability to get to the rim and get easy points (i.e. layups, free throws), it will make for interesting games if the Magic aren't shooting great.

Overall though, Wade just doesn't have the supporting cast to make a lot of noise in the playoffs.

I agree that he doesn't have the cast to get past Boston or Cleveland.  Any other team in the East, not so sure.  Marion is capable of being a big help.  Or one great trade piece.  Then, there are some solid role players.  They are already in the 5th seed, one game behind Atlanta.  I think they are better then people are thinking right now.

I think Stuckey can cover Wade...well, as much as anyone can.  And I don't know if Chalmers can really stick with AI.

One things for sure, that would be a fun series to watch if you like individual performances.

I also think the Hawks could hang with them...depending on which Hawks team shows up.

I think Atlanta can if everyone's healthy. They have enough talent at all 5 positions as well as some substantial depth that I think they would wear down the Heat in a 7 game series. However if the Heat move Marion for some more effective pieces that could change.

Can I wait to answer this question until after the Heat trade Marion and I can see who Wade gets to go to war with? Because as the Heat are currently constructed I could see Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, Atlanta, Detroit, and Philadelphia all beating Miami in a playoff series.

Now would I be surprised if Miami beat Detroit and Philly? No. But I would if they beat any of the first 4 teams if those teams are healthy. Actually I'd be kinda shocked if, as the Heat are currently constructed, they could beat Atlanta, Orlando, Boston, or Cleveland. I see a quick exit for the Heat unless they can get some different help in there for Wade.

If Wade gets the call that he got in the finals?  No one can beat the Heat.  Look at how good that Dallas team was that Miami "beat" in the finals.
