Celtics center Kendrick Perkins said he was fined $10,000 by the NBA for a hard foul he had on Pistons forward Jason Maxiell during last Friday's game in Auburn Hills, Mich. Perkins said he wasn't disappointed by the fine since he thought he would get fined worse.

Link.

That's good news, for sure.

Could have been deadly for this teams win streak if he was suspended with KG sick and Scali seeing stars.

Perk on Jefferson.  Much better then Powe, Davis or even POB on Jefferson.

They might change their minds now that Bynum will likely be out. $10,000 is bucket CHANGE 4 perk.

Happy to be wrong - I thought it was an open-and-shut one gamer the way the NBA usually addresses fouls like that.  We'll need him today.

I think since he was ejected, there was no suspension.  If he had stayed in the game, he would be suspended for this game.

NBA doesn't like to double dip on players missing games.

I think it's because Stern has a secret conspiracy to help out the Celtics  ;D

Glad to see the NBA be consistent on this sort of fouls.
