  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
In Orlando, hopefully the Magic will want to make amends for their last nationally televised performance last week. Get a win at home, and put the C's up, go Magic.

At this moment in the schedule... Go Magic.

But I have to say; I still don't get how this Cavs team is playing so well [Lebron non-withstanding] perhaps some of you could shed some light in these two issues I have with the Cavs:

1.) They play 4 on 5 on offense [Big 'Black hole' Ben]
2.) One of their key reserves is wally... WALLY FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!

I understand how good Lebron is... I get it.  But I'm still not convinced that they win a seven game series against the C's.

Definitely rooting for the Magic.  It says a lot about what the Cavs have been able to do with injuries to Z and Delonte.  Every loss we can get out of them helps.

What it comes down to, besides LeBron, is that they play defense.  Shooting can come and go  from game to game, and quarter to quarter.  But if you're playing consistent defense, you're always going to be in the game.  That's why we had trouble with them in the playoffs last year, and it's why we'll have trouble if we meet them again this year.

TP for saving my the typing, they play excellent defense, not our level of defense, but very good.

You add to that the force that is lebron driving the lane on offense, surrouned with spot up shooters, and they are in every game.

I hope and expect the Magic will win...this is a crucial period in the season to get back in the lead after our tailspin.  Cavs losses are big too as our head-to-head tiebreaker with them is still up in the air, and we've clinched a least a tie with Orlando in that category.

But my dream situation is for Howard to get a dunk on one end, followed by a fullcourt pass to LeBron for a quick dunk at the other.  Howard doesn't notice the Cavs have scored due to excessive preening for the cameras, and both guys run upcourt doing that stupid "stare at my hand thing", run smack into each other and boom, double KO.

Magic likely smarting from the Celtics game. It'll be interesting. Cleveland hasn't won a road game yet against the East's top teams.  Gooo Magic (and Spurs)!

They play our level of defence. The difference, if one exists, is so small that a week ago, or before the injuries, they were actually leading in defensive efficiency. They're also a great rebounding team, a great offensive team (although not nearly as good without Big Z) and have the best player in the league. Varejão and Wallace are playing very well, much better than last season. Plus, the addition of Mo Williams, a guy who can create shots for himself and for others while still allowing James to play point-forward, helped making their offense far less predictable. I don't see a reason to doubt they can beat anyone in a 7 games series. I mean, they almost beat the Champions last season and went to the Finals the season before and they weren't nearly as good as they are now.

That said, with Ilgauskas and West out, Magic has the obligation of winning this.

This is blasphemy, and I hate saying but, I actually place their defense above ours at the moment. The do a very good job of dictating the game pace.

Go Magic.
