Again for being voted in as an All-Star Starter(2nd place for forwards behind LBJ as of 4pm) for the Celtics, a feat that has been rarely accomplished in the past 20 years.  You have to go back to 2002 when Celtic Great Antoine Walker was voted in as a starter for the East. And before that Larry Bird in 1991.

Also I cant believe that Yi JianLian is 3rd, thats outrageous. Yi has that tiny country of China supporting him, which doesnt hurt.

I still cant believe that AI, Vince Carter and Gilbert Arenas get as many votes as they do.  What has AI done this year on the Pistons? When does the insanity stop with Vinsanity? sure he is a good player but not deserving of this many votes. And Gilbert hasnt even played and gets votes. All that does is take votes away from Devin Harris, Derek Rose, Jameer and Rajon. Iverson and Carter gets these votes because of the slim pickings is what it boils down too, but I believe there to be more deserving options.

Oh well the popularity contest continues, lets just hope Pierce and Allen make it, not likely, but I wouldnt mind having another Celtic in the game.

I believe you sort of contradict yourself. First you say how great it is that KG was voted in as an all-star, than you go on about how stupid the people who vote are.

Anyway, congrates to Garnett, I guess.

Never once do I say that the voters are stupid, what I said was their are more deserving players who should get the votes.  Iverson and Vince Carter are good players but I dont believe them to be worthy of being voted in.  Especially Arenas, who is probably averaging 40 pts a game in 2K9 for Gilbert himself.

I'm pretty sure Pierce and Allen will be voted in by the coaches. They decide who the all-star reserves are, not the fans. If Yi is the 3rd leading vote getter among forwards in the east, that means he does not win a starting spot; he'd have to be selected by the coaches for the team, which isn't going to happen since he basically sucks.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I think the coaches should be able to select who is on the

ballot. It would have been a travesty if Chairman Yi got in over Garnett.

Seriously, the guy isn't even an average NBA player.

I think he absolutely does it.  I've been saying for weeks, and do every year, that the major blunders as of the last ballot update seem to always be fixed.  This year, it was Paul surging past TMac.  Stern would not let Yi pass KG... no way.

If it's true, then this is the one time I agree with the alleged nefarious deeds of David Stern, Yi and McGrady have no business at the all-star game.

You're probably right (IDK either).
But China has more fans than Yi's team  ;)

Congrats to KG! It's wonderful that we have the most intense/devoted player in the NBA on our team. Here's to 5 more years.
