Yes, I haven't been the same since.

Before, it had felt like the world had forgotten Paul and had elevated Garnett to J.C. like levels.

Now, KG in front of national tv had told everyone... the Truth. Anyways, it's changed my view of him and most definitely changes the tone of my earlier post, ranting about KG ranting on court instead of playing in the post like Hakeem Olajuwon.

Very true, lol.  Shaq would say something like that.

In regard to Pierce being the Superman of the team...I definitely agree with that.  When the KG trade went down, I think everyone felt the team had become Garnett's...  On paper, Pierce was still the captain, but Garnett took over the team.  But, I think ever since last year, especially in the Cleveland series, most notably game 7, and the run through the Finals, Pierce showed that even though he is surrounded by 2 all-star caliber players, he can still put this team single handedly on his back.  He's been showing it a lot more this year.  Maybe its the fact there is less pressure, he can still go out every night, give a good effort, and if he is having a rough game, he knows there is KG or Ray to back him up. The less pressure, the more easy things seem to become.  In the past, 95% of the time, if Pierce was off, it became pretty impossible to win.  I definitely do believe he is the "Superman" of this team, and the team is still his, as it was before KG arrived.

Seems like you haven't been paying attention to KG at all since he began playing for us.

LOL nothing has changed.  Garnett has said this is Pierce's team since the first press conference.

It's not KG's fault that people such as yourself don't pay attention.

It's been really funny the past few weeks to see the "Pierce fans" get all bent out of shape and turn on Garnett just because the media/some fans/etc. have elevated Garnett as the face of the team.

Seeing how this has caused so many to undervalue what Garnett has brought to the franchise and act like he is easily replaceable or hasn't played that well has been hilarious.  People are going to have their favorite players but just because Pierce isn't getting the credit you feel he deserves from some people is no reason to get your panties in a bunch.

KG is an outstanding and unique talent. Without him, we do not get banner 17. There is not a player in the league who defends better, and inspires other people to defend better the way KG does. Pierce may be a more gifted scorer, but KG has the skills of a guard and a center, and with his incredibly length and intensity he shapes our team and shapes our games. He is irreplaceable, especially because he is willing to defer to Paul Pierce, give him the credit, and allow Pierce to be the Captain with such grace.

KG wasn't telling "the truth" as you suggested it. he was commending Pierce for his stellar game, not saying "Paul Pierce is better than I am, and contributes more to the team than me, and I bow before him".

I love Pierce, he's my favorite player, but KG will go down in history and in bars across America,he will be mentioned in far more select company than Pierce ever will be.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious. Also I would love if they did actually start blaring the superman music when Pierce was in one of his usual hot streaks.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

After he hit his 5th three pointer of the 3rd quarter last night would've been a nice time.

Well KG has said this is Pauls team all along, and whenever he was asked about the MVP last season, he said if he had a vote he'd give it to paul, after Game 7 against cleveland he informed the media it was "get the ball to pierce and get the Hell out the way" and he celebrated when Pierce won finals MVP...KG never once said he was the captain or the face of the team and has called Paul Pierce "superman" on a few different occassions this season.   Despite all this the media still pins KG as the face of the team, mainly because hes "sexier", the bigger name

He must truly be Superman.  Who else would be able to accommodate the legions of "fans" trying to make their home in the cozy confines of his rectum?  ;)

wow, if your going to make an account just to try to troll, you think you could do better.

what a waste.

Amen, this and what Bud said about sum it up for me.  Wasn't KG saying the same sorts of things back during that week in November when PP was unreal against Toronto and Atlanta in the same week?

And I'd be surprised if nobody noticed when PP won the Finals MVP.

Titlemaster, did your world stop then change the direction it was spinning (which would allow you to time travel)?
