not worried about orlando at all...still think their guards aren't good

i think that we would dominate them in every part of the game, except at C. but i think that Perk would really rise up for that matchup.

I feel Miami (even with D Wade) would be a sweep.
That is if KG goes inside and stops shooting jumpers ala Dirk.

The Hawks are so young and athletic and seem to have major confidence against us. Tought out.

Orlando...I feel they have to really be on fire from 3 point range to beat us.

The Cavs..without home court scares the crap out of me!!

The Pistons just make me laugh.

Yes. Orlando has a chance to win any game, and can be unbeatable if their 3 PT shooters are on fire. Tougher than last year? Probably not, but again at this point we'd be the road team, so ouch.

There is a simple game plan to beating Orlando....slow the game down.  Work the inside on offense and try to get Howard in foul trouble.  Orlando has nothing on the inside if Howard is out.

You definitely need quick rotations on defense, as you can't guard Howard one on one, you need to double him which would open up one of their shooters.  As long as you can rotate quickly and get a hand in the face of the shooter you should be okay.

orlando could threaten us, but im not fearful.

the key with the playoffs for this season is whether we have home court advantage.

this is so funny, i just started playing a "Playoff Mode" game where i seeded everyone the way they are right now.

would you even wanna play Wade in the first round, he's playing like one of the best players in the NBA again.

exactly, I'd like to avoid Wade as much as possible...

And I was just watching ESPN's 1st and 10 and Skip Bayless just said the Magic are better than the Celtics...lol

I don't know who I cant stand more skip bayless or tim legler.  id say probably bayless actaully

No, i don't. However, given Perk's recent health struggles and POB's inactivity i am concerned with the way to stop Howard

skip bayless is a walking cartoon, and he's a moron. He hasen't had an original thought in his head in three years, he just says something crazy and looks down his nose at his partner as he gets called on it.

Its painfully scripted.

Has to be Bayless...remember Legler was the 1 out of 10 ESPN "experts" who picked us to win the Finals last year.  He's gotta get a shred of credit for that.  I can't recall Skip Bayless being right about anything, and I respect him less for getting the sense that he's smart enough to know a bit better but is just going the political pundit route of being loud and controversial for more attention.

As for the Magic, I feel better about playing them in the 2nd rd than the Hawks - they rolled over when Detroit pushed them around in the playoffs last year, and I don't think they'll give us much more resistance.  Any team that relies on the jumper as much as them is pretty much doomed in the playoffs anyway.  I'd rather get the 1 seed and have Detroit beat the Hawks and play them instead, but the Magic don't worry me too much.

KG's game is jump shots and turning away from the basket of fade aways, he's not an inside scorer. And i think if dwight leaves his man to help on KG then we will see some good offensive numbers from Perk.

the Magic are for real,  anyone saying No they arent concerned about them is just way overconfident and a homer

And we'd sweep Miami?  please...thats a joke right? I dont think the celtics are capable of sweeping anybody, we saw it last year and we'll see it again, Have fun sweeping DWade...

For some reason I think the Magic are just on a really good run, and they just really good chemistry. On paper I just dont see how they have such a great record. They dont have very many good players on the team other than Howard, a case can be made for Nelson and Turk and Lewis' name hardly pops up in sports news. I guess I just have to watch them play more often.

The Magic are the team of the moment because they are hot.  I'd pick the C's to beat them in a series but I think it would go 6 games.  The Magic have great shooters and Howard is an absolute beast who could average 25/16/4 in a playoff series.  We'd miss PJ if the playoffs started today because nobody other than Perk has a shot in hell at containing this guy.

The Celts are at least as close to being too good to worry about Orlando as they are to being too bad to be capable of sweeping anybody.

You think PJ Brown could do anything against DHoward? sheeesh...dont think so

And I dont like the magic at all, but people just saying there on a hot streak or whatever dont really know what they're talking about, how are the magic a fluke and the cavs not? The Magic are good, they have a better record than us right now, they're pounding teams, best record on the road, best record vs the west, playing better defense and are a mathup nightmare for anybody including us. for all the talk about rondo being an allstar, what about this kid Jameer Nelson, who is playing absolutely spectacular and definetly should be an all-star, for as bad as rondos jumpshot is, thats how deadly nelsons is..I heard he was in the gym taking 1000+ jumpshots a day in the offseason, unfortunatly for us I dont think rondo took 1000 jumpshots the entire offseason
