Do you fear Orlando in the second round?

Well if the playoffs started today... we'd have to face Dwayne Wade in the first round, Orlando in the 2nd round and the Cavs in the 3rd round.   Ouch.

Anyone worried about Orlando?  Seems like that team is on the verge of being included in the "true contender" category along with Celts, Cavs and Lakers.

Anyone worried that JJ Redick might keep this up?  He's shooting ridiculous right now.  He certainly shot this well in College... but this is the first time he's been capable on the NBA level.  It's way too early, but... this month he's averaging 11 points on 56% shooting and 65% from three.  Of course, Rashard and Nelson are big 3 point threats also. That team made an NBA record 23 three pointers last night.  Does that potential inside/outside combo on Orlando make them a big threat?  If you combine ridiculous outside shooting with the most dominant big man in the game... you'd assume the team has a chance to do something.

We did spank them earlier this year though.  But they seem to be getting stronger.

If the playoffs started today? Orlando would have home-court advantage. No way we beat Orlando in a road series without Perkins.

I expect that at the end of the season, we'll beat Orlando for home court advantage. And with a full roster, I think we beat them in 6 or 7.

The Celtics are the stronger team and should win, but the Magic are good enough to knock them off.

Better to avoid them and allow the Magic to knock off the Cavs instead, then play Orlando in the Conference Finals.

I expect the Celtics to finish with the best record in the East and second best record overall in the league, with the Lakers taking top spot.

Lucky for us, the playoffs aren't starting today.

I fully expect us to pass the Magic in the standings, so that if we met in the playoffs, we'd have HCA.  But either way, I would still expect to be them in a 7 game series.  Not to take anything away from them, because they've been on a tear this season.  But they still rely a bit too much on outside shooting.  If they're on target, they can beat anyone in the league because they have a lot of good shooters.  But if the jumpers aren't falling, it's gonna be a long night for them.

But that's something way down the road.  I'm sure whoever the Celtics face in the first round, it won't be a cake walk.  But the most important thing is for the Celtics to be healthy and to get back to playing their style of ball.  They did it for 3 quarters in Toronto and for the second half the next night.  I want to see them put a string together of consistent ball all game.

I am. Jameer Nelson will get injured at some point, and their roster seems too thin not to go in a slump. They've started great, but they always seem to fade down the stretch.

Fear? No, but I do recognize them as a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference.

They match up very well with us. Our front line can really become an issue dealing with Howard. After Perk we don't have a single player who can defend D.Howard, this is one of those teams we need another Center for. They have shooters at 4 positions, so double teaming could really hurt us. The further KG is from the basket the worse our defense gets. Also like every other contending team their bench is better than ours.

It would be a tough series.

Orlando, more than Cleveland imo, is the main reason why we need length at the C position off the bench.  

DHoward will have our bigs riddled in foul trouble that whole series, and Perk is the only one who can pretend to guard him.  It will be difficult to win if DH gets to match up against Powe/Davis/Scal/Paddy for half the series.

The scariest thing about them is that we are a poor defensive team against the 3 ball. Teams that shoot the ball well from downtown give us trouble. We don't get out on that line very well, however in the playoffs the intensity is picked up and we get there faster, and the shots are harder to knock down than the regular season.

They are legit, but not there yet. Cleveland is the only team I fear in the East. I'd like to think so, but I don't think we are as good as they are at this moment. We need to either play better or add someone to be at their level.

Yes, and I'll be worried about Miami and Dwyane Wade as well or any potential young athletic team we see in the first round...It took us more games than any team of all time to win it last year, we're not as good, not as healthy and as of now dont have home court

I will only be worried if Perk is injured still. This shoulder thing is worrying me!
