I stopped reading after this sentence...

Raymond Felton, JJ Redick, those are players who actually belong in an NBA rotation

Tp for you... Id take any player on our team over J.J. any day. The bench may be "bad" but they are still a huge part of the first NBA team to reach 30 wins this season. That you cant deny...There is always someone out there waiting to make a move, who knows what could happen...

I don't particularly think our bench is "bad". They're alright. As a group, they have helped us get to the 30 win plateau faster than anyone else in the league. Props to them for that. However, this bench's sum is greater than the value of its individual parts. That is why a trade involving parts of our bench won't go through; our players are not anything special individually. They just all play hard on D, know the team defense, and work well together on offense (sometimes). If you break them apart and take them away from the Celtics' offensive and defensive sets, then each player becomes substantially less valuable. So, while our bench as a whole is not back, each individual part does not have much value to the rest of the league.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Can this recent torrent of trade proposals please stop?

Any disposable talent that we have on our bench is NOT good enough to trade for anyone of value. Raymond Felton, JJ Redick, those are players who actually belong in an NBA rotation. High in an NBA rotation, in fact. 7th or 8th men. BBD, Scal, and TA along with Giddens and Walker is not a package that anyone would accept, unless what that other team gives away is equally mediocre talent.

We really can't improve our team through a trade, so lets stop trying to come up with hypothetical trades that will never happen.

We will really only be able to add anyone of value to our bench if they are bought out. Everyone wants to play for a contender, but no one wants to help a contender improve its team. Let's just hope Joe Smith, Jerry Stackhouse, or some player with ability and/or length get bought out, and chooses to come to Boston. That is our only hope.

i agree with you man TP. but thats never gonna happen, you just gotta learn to ignore all the ridiculous trade ideas. I can't even go in those threads without going insane.

BBD, JR and TA have no trade value?  I beg to differ.  TA would be in any team's "rotation:.  Maybe not high up, but he would play on any NBA team.  BBD is borderline, but can provide toughness and rebounding - which many teams are lacking.  Giddens is nothing but potential - which has value in the NBA.  Have you seen what he has done in the NBDL? Plus they're all relatively young with room to grow.  I'm not saying we're gonna trade BBD for LBJ but they do all have some value on the market.

I'm with you.

However, I do participate in such threads when it said to be a possibility.

I hate trade ideas, but It's different when they're rumors  :D
