Rather have Pierce sit out a game or two now than have him try to play through pain and risk being out for a much longer span downt the road.  We need this team healthy and rested for May & June.

Regular season record is not the ultimate goal of this team.

Ray is still hot from yesterday
so let him have more shots.

Rest that knee, Captain!

To be honest though, I am dreading Bill Walker coming out, having a great game, followed by the innevitable fall back to being a rookie second round draft pick, who can't make his own shot, who is lucky to see garbage minutes, and then all of the "Fire Doc" threads.

Or perhaps he comes out, has a great game, joins the rotation, and all of the "Doc was holding him back" threads.

I'm willing to deal with those threads if Walker breaks out. It'd be a pleasant surprise and would certainly boost the morale of some around here.

If Pierce, Perk, and TA cannot go for tonight's game than Doc will still probably not give Walker or Giddens a look.

Doc will go with this starting line up -

Rondo
Ray Allen
Scalabrine
Garnett
Davis/Powe

Bench

Pruitt
House
Ray Allen
Powe
O'Bryant

I'm okay with Walker coming out.  I noticed ESPN anyway had him listed as active for yesterday's game.  Getting Pierce rested and healthy may be just the break the C's and Danny need.  It's generally been injury that has forced Doc to try young players, and I'd think either Walker or Pruitt has to get some run for tonight at least.

that might be the main rotation but Ray isn't going to play a full 48 minutes, some of those should go to Giddens or Walker. Hopefully they at least dress.

I doubt Ray has the same type of hot shooting as he had yesterday, I mean he shot 80% from 3. I will look for KG to get a lot of touches inside and hopefully not settle for outside jumpers.
Or maybe we will get a big game from Rondo, Gabe or one of the rookies.

Walker was in the NBDL... not much Doc can do about it if he's not in the roster. I'm sure if he was with the team he would've already had a couple of chances to play here and there.

So that's no Pierce and no Tony Allen right?

So the Celtics have only one wing player. Hopefully the rookies will play.

Well, if they don't play.  I would be surprised if both of them actually sit out.
