The only reason we won this game is because Ray Allen was on fire all night and ended up scoring 36 points.

I still don't believe we're out of this funk as a team.

i honestly think boston beats up toronto tomorrow...KG and pierce didn't play great and hopefully perk will be back. 20 point lead needs to stay a 20 point leads though...are they back?? no..but baby steps...

whoah...pierce decided to show up. forgot he was even out there playing

Just because he didn't take a lot of shots doesn't mean he wasn't playing well.  5-11 fg  6 assist  6 rebounds  2 blocked shots
All on a bum knee.

His big problem today was that he couldn't get to the foul line, something that has been ongoing lately.

As for Davis, he was terrible.  How many 12 foot jumpers did he miss today and WHY did he continue to take that shot?

While I agree that Davis was pathetic on the offensive end of the court, I disagree that he played awful.

He was very good to excellent on the defensive end and on the boards today. Offensively he was active and was in position to make his presence felt.

When there was a tipped ball or loose ball Davis seemed to be involved, and in a good way.

But shooting that mid range and all the freaking bunnies he missed because he was so concerned about making contact and getting a call cost the Celtics a blowout.

Leon is definitely in Doc's doghouse if Baby continues to play over him. In Baby's defense, his rebounding and defense were very, very solid today. His offense was atrocious, though.

Baby never seems to play well after getting yapped at by KG.

Speaking of baby steps, Mr. Glen Davis has lost his offensive mojo. True he tried hard at the defensive end and rebounding but sorry to say his shooting is hurting the C's. I wish Patrick O'Bryant was ready to step up and contribute on a regular basis.

This was a good Celtics game for three quarters, but these 4th quarters are getting on my nerves. I'm sure that is getting on Doc's nerves, too.
Wins are few, times are hard. Here is your bleeping St Patricks Day Card.

another bad game. luckily it was against a real bad team & we get them at home tomorrow.  hopefully, this break after tomorrow's game will provide them with some rest and time to practice.

i think leon must have killed doc's dog or something.  he is burried on the bench.  i really hope this is b/c danny is trying to shop bbd.

KG and Davis both were terrible on finishing their inside shots. The only exception was KGs dunks off alley oops or when he was left uncovered. Luckily Ray made up for it.

Well, Celtics have lost to real bad teams in this slump so winning is at least one small step foward. Better then losing like the C's have been doing lately.

you guys aren't going to believe this, donny has a close relationship with ray allen.

All these broadcasts and he's never mentioned that one.

Well, seeing as we had the Celts buried after our little slump, I'll take the win. A little swoon in January probably won't mean anything in the playoffs. Relax a little people..

Overall my couple pennies:

- Rondo seemed to be more the Rondo of the 19 game streak today. His aggressiveness set a tone and he kept his man in front of him better today than he has since before Christmas. Not exactly what I wanted to see from him but much better and a step in the right direction defensively.

- Sticking with the PG position, I just don't see how Pruitt hasn't solidified himself full time as Rondo's backup. Again(maybe third or fourth straight appearance for him) he was solid. He was screwed out of at least two assists on good plays because of missed easy shots. His defense was very good. Lastly, once again when he was asked to handle the ball he was near flawless without a turnover and mostly good decisions.

- Eddie House had better hope that Tony Allen stays injured because his play hasn't been great, Pruitt is proving he is a PG and Eddie keeps proving he isn't and it's becoming obvious that unless Eddie is wide open, he's going to be a non factor. Too bad, too. I like Eddie.

- Ray was lights out unreal, unbelievable, awesome.

- KG is KG but in a game where he can't throw it in the ocean I just don't see why he is killing BBD for missed shots. He was a presence on the boards and defensive end and he's not going to have too many nights a year shooting like he did today.

- Captain is my hero sometimes. He played as well as you could expect a guy that was in pain to play. He didn't always show it but there were those times when he was leaving the court or coming back on after a timeout where it was fairly obvious his gait was being effected. And his just give me the [dang] ball walk it up the court make a move and drain the open 15 footer was exactly what this team needed at the exact moment they needed it. I know I've been critical of Pierce doing this a bit too much lately but in that case, that's mwhen he does need to do it.

- Scal continues to prove many on this board wrong and was very good today. Great move by Doc to go with Scal today to start against Bargnani.

Much needed win let's hope they can back it up tomorrow night with a blowout. The starters could use some fourth quarter rest tomorrow night.

You summed it up nicely there, nick. TP for that. Gabe has looked great with the ball in his hands. He has made some really nifty passes to the bigs on the pick and roll. I didn't know he had that in his game. He shows me something new in his repertoire in every game.
