i hate that guy, and think he should be a NJ nets announcer. afterall, it seems like he is always so fond of his bench riding days there. he's terrible, even worse than the c's have been the past 9 games.

i find him more annoying when the celts lose bc everything annoys me when the celts lose.  overall, he is just ok. he'd be better if he didnt name drop, appear egotistical, and ride ray's jock.

My favorite tonight was his retort to a Gorman comment on Lebron:  "well, you know...I played against the greatest EVER...Michael Jordan of course"

It's ok though, he rated the Celtics' performance a "B" tonight - what's that Donnie?  That they B stinking up the joint?

You're awful.  I'd honestly rather have Bill Walton do color.  At least the (usually) unintended comedy makes him entertaining.
God bless and good night!

To me it is just that he never shuts up. Every basket, every missed shot, bad pass, free throw, he has to comment. I just cannot enjoy the game because of his incessant chatter. Poor Mike Gorman! It must be terrible for him.

I cannot stand him. The other night when he was going on and on about Wilson Chandler and the Knicks being so much better than their record blah blah blah, I wanted to reach through the screen and smack the ear rings out of his head.

I wish the announcer would shut up!!!  ::)

Come on, he's not that bad. Look, I know it's odd that the storied franchise that is the Celtics couldn't find someone with better Celtics roots than Donny Marshall, but the fact is, Donny's the guy they got, and it's not Donny's fault that he didn't play for us. Also, I'm not sure why everyone gets so mad at his Ray Allen man love. Tommy goes crazy for individual guys, too.

I don't mind him as a studio analyst but as a color guy his awful. I really wish they find someone a little more interesting even dead silence would be better.

Wow.  I'm not sure why everyone hates on Donny Marshall.  When he is in studio he is great.  And when he is doing away games with Gorman he is great.  Tommy and Mike both seem to like him (as opposed to Tanquay, whom relentlessly seeks Tommy's approval).

I've lived in a couple other parts of the country, and though Boston is my home and I try not to be jaded... your hard pressed to find better in game announcing.
