Rondo has to play better...it's plain and simple.

He has to be aggressive at both ends of the floor and he will create better and easier shots for everyone.

Right now his defense and decision making on offense is like stuck in neutral and for whatever reason he can't stay in front of his man or fight through screens with regularity.

Ray Allen seriously needs a game or two off...he is taking some very difficult shots including fading 3's off of pics and that's never good for someone who's legs are shot.

Potentially, we're looking at having to win road games in the playoffs at Orlando, at Cleveland, and at LA.  I don't see that happening.  Home court is essential, and it's slipping down the tubes.

face the 19 game streak most likely is the highlight of the season...they have fallen in quicksand and everything has gone down the tubes....the lakers game is what we can all point to as the beginning of the end for this team

man, i know your ticked like i am, but honestly, you take pessimism to another level.

This sucks. The C's now lost 5 of the last 7. Panic time is now officially in the air. Last year when the team lost 3 of 4, I didn't panic because I knew the team would pull thru. This year, sadly, I'm not too sure. We need a shot in the arm. Bad.

actually that is 6 out of 8

  • TRANSFORMATION INTO CHAMPION COMPLETE!!!
OK, so who are we trading and who's coming in, because this team has gotten a little too comfortable, the roster needs a shakeup, and people need to not be so comfortable with their jobs.

Every member of the C's, players, coaches, administration, needs to look in the mirror and decide what the rest of the season is going to be. It starts Friday, if they are a for real championship contender, send a message, if they lose, go back and hide because they aren't willing to fight back, against everyone who is gunning for them.

I honestly think this, although early, is a major point in the season, time to get going or time to give up.

There are a few people like that here. I just try to ignore them.

Ray looks really old again. Eddie is Eddie and this is why he has been on so many teams. Rondo for some reason is playing like a rookie again and Perk is playing the way I always expected him to play, not like the guy in the 19-game win streak. Garnett has been up and down and the only one of the big three playing exceptional basketball is Pierce. The defense is awful, the offense is caught in quicksand and Doc does not have a clue as to what to do. It is way too early to blow this thing up, but you can bet that ownership is not happy and Danny is scratching his head figuring out what he can do to try to turn this around.

Just a sanity check: there's more than half the season left, plenty of time to right the ship.  Frankly during the winning streak I was afraid of a Patriots-like situation where the mental fatigue of the streak would eventually catch up with the team at the worst time.  If we're going to struggle, and almost every team will at some point, I'm glad we're struggling now rather than later in the season.  This should be a good reminder to the team that even with being Champions and All Stars and all, they still need to play smartly and as a team to win.  Overcoming this adversity now will hopefully pay dividends in the playoffs.

well friday to me becomes a must win for boston...they are giving the almost entire streak back in the a matter of 2 weeks...either boston comes out with a heart of a champion at cleveland or they just pass the baton...at least for home court in the east

The C's need to sit down amongst themselves and figure out what's wrong with the team. Rondo needs to find his lost form from earlier this season. KG got lost in the 2nd half after a nice 1st half. Perkins is reverting to his foul-prone machine form, which is not good for us. I could go on and on but it will only make me more depressed. I need a win from the C's soon. I don't care how we get it. Just get me a W. Now.

Somebody better find Austin Powers. We need somebody who knows how to get his mojo back.

Vinnie, thanks for the correction. Now I feel more bad.
