You have 8 minutes to do it on this pretty cool site. Spelling counts.

I'm embarassed to say that I only got 35/50. It's hard to come up with the names out of nowhere. I'm also pretty tired right now. If I had to do it over again on a clear head, I'm guessing I would get about 42-44. There are 6 that I would never guess correctly.

You got 39 out of 50 NBA's 50 greatest players (compiled in 1996, the 50th Anniversary Season).

I can't believe some of the guys I forgot!

TP EarthBall, nice topic.

Yeah I did this about 3 weeks ago and got 44.  Can't believe I missed Julius Erving too lol.

Very cool site.

You mean the published list or the real list?

Paul Arizin, Bill Walton and James Worthy don't belong on the list.  Bernard King was about twelve times better than Arizin.  Bob Lanier had a far more productive career than Walton. Connie Hawkins was better than Worthy.

And of course, active players or guys who came into the league after 1996 weren't considered, so others have to come off to make room for Garnett, Duncan, Bryant and James (just to name four).

I was going to say exactly the same thing.
