Jeff Foster would be the perfect fit for this team. He plays tough D, can rebound and can finish around the rim. He is also a legit Center, something BBD has shown he can't be in the NBA.

So here's the trade:

I know BBD and Scal alone probably doesn't interest Indiana very much, but if we include a young player with potential they might make a deal. We would have to give up either Giddens, Walker or Pruitt(would rather not deal Pruitt). The good thing about Foster is he is signed for the next 3 years at a reasonable 6 mil a year, we wouldn't have to be worry about our backup Center anymore.

Plus Indiana is 10-21 so they are probably going to be looking to move some contracts for younger players.

same question as the trade for solmons, what has giddeons and walker shown anyone to make them atractive prospects at this point in time?

I doubt they trade foster for a kid that got drafted in the second round and is in the NBDL.

He'd be good but I don't see the incentive for the Pacers.

Jeff Foster is one of the best off the bench rebounding big men in the game. Why in the world does Larry Bird make this trade other than to guarantee the 18th banner going into the rafters in Boston. Last I checked he worked for Indiana.

Would love to see him added, just don't see why the Pacers do it.

At worst, he is a good vet presence for Hibbert.

we could always get a 3rd team involved. I would even be willing to trade TA and give pruitt TA's spot on the roster

Indiana just gave Foster a two year extension before the deadline. Foster isn't going anywhere, at least for this kind of price, especially because they'll probably let Rasho Nesterovic walk away by the end of the season. You say he's signed on a reasonable contract and then you want to get him for garbage?

I love Foster, but we do not have the ammo. Plus, I believe he is their captain.
"All I have to know is, he's my coach, and I follow his lead. He didn't have to say anything in here this week. We all knew what we had to do. He's a big part of our family, and we're like his extended family. And we did what good families do when one of their own is affected." - Teddy Bruschi

I agree with Cordobes. I think there's a hope Bird lets him leave without getting something valuable in return.

Foster is also one of the leaders in a locker room that lacks that, as well as been praised for his work with young players like Roy Hibbert. Foster is the guy that survives a poor season. Players like Troy Murphy and Rasho Nesterovic are the one's who'll they'll consider moving.

Jeff Foster would indeed be perfect for this Celtics team. I would have loved to have seen him signed this summer had he not signed that extension.

Imposible
hes "one of those guys" teams never let go
and to be honest to continue saying
Scal and BBD or Tony are good enough trade bait "doesnt matter if we add potential,a.k.a. wait we dont have potential" are not going to raise their value
We need free agents for the cheap in search of a ring, we dont have nothinh to offer
maybe powe after last years finals. right now...nothing

Exactly. We don't have enouigh of value on this bench to get Foster.
