You can only do so much with the pieces you have,if you dont have the right players(role)to backup the starters how far can a team go(succeed).Almost every winning team has at least 2 role players that could probably start on some of the other teams. On the otherhand if you dont give players that you have waiting on the bench a chance to prove themselves, that might lead to a coach's shortcomings also.

Building a roster with one legitimate center - who has shoulders made of swiss cheese - isn't Doc's issue.

Of all of the teams that having no center to match up against is an excuse to lose, a Don Nelson coached team is the very last.  Anyway, Biedrins has about an inch on Garnett with the same body type.  It's not like Garnett couldn't slide over and match up perfect.  I'm no raving fan of Rivers.  But that is a ridiculous excuse for a loss to Golden State.  They were tired in the fourth quarter after an intense back-to-back.  The panic in the blog to overhaul the roster is hilarious.  They'll bounce back tonight and probably won't lose 15 games this season.

Losing 15 games in the regular season means absolutely zip.

This season, and every other while Garnett, Pierce and Ray are in their primes, is about winning 16 in the playoffs.

And that's not going to happen with this roster.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

The problem is it forces the Celtics to play the other teams game, on the road.

Celtics game consists of KG at PF.
