The Confetti!!!!
Why don't they make a banner and raise it next game!?
Maybe they should get rings aswell, and Sasha should tattoo date and score on his arm or something...
I think that was pretty imberesing  for the Lakers organization, yeah it was a big game and it' the Celtics but it was way out of line.

Are you serious? ****!  I didn't see the end of the game.  I got so disgusted with the bad calls and the final minutes of the game that I shut the tv off.

Confetti? Seriously? Oh man, that's pathetic.

it's true, and that makes it even lamer.

you're entitled to your opinion, but seriously it does make me laugh how celtics fans all over the internet assumed it was for just beating the celtics.

Hey, I didn't assume anything.  I actually watch Lakers games quite a bit so I knew the routine.  Always have thought it was funny/lame.  The tinsel is a little over the top, but what else do you expect from La la land.
God bless and good night!

It's not a case of that, it's the fact that this game meant 10 times more to you lot than it did to us. We see this as just another game, you guys had the date circled and counted down to it. From what I can infer from post-game comments, the only guy who made sense - as is so often the case from LA - was Derek Fisher. He realises that it's just a regular season game. The fans, some players (Vujab*tch) and the media think this is the be all and end all.

Infact if you were to read most laker post game assessments, they all say that it was one game but obviously due to the level of the opponent it is a bigger game and that really does go without saying.. even for you guys this was a bigger game than your game against the 76ers for instance.. sasha is the only player who made remarks which differ to this.. but that is sasha for you..

Maestro, it may have meant more to the Lakers and their fans in terms of a measuring stick and revenge etc..., but I have to say I was very much looking forward to the game for weeks ahead, and I know I'm not alone there.

In terms of what the game's real meaning was, it definitely meant more to the Lakers than the Celtics at this point. The C's are ahead of them in the race for home court.  As much as we feel the C's dominated the Finals, LA won 2 of 3 on its home court, and the game they lost they blew a 25 point lead.  Last year the C's swept LA in the regular season, this year they will not have that tiebreaker.  It was an important game in that respect.

The funny thing to me is that we're going to hear how amazing the lakers are , and how much better they are than the celtics from here on out when these games were no different than game 3 or 5 of the finals where we lost in LA...sources already saying Lakers got "revenge" ...

There's no denying that it meant more to your team than ours. No denying that. For you this was revenge; a statement game, for us, obviously it was a bigger game than most, but nonetheless it was a regular season game and come June it'll be forgotten about.

Don't get me wrong, I looked forward to this game too and it was a huge game for me personally, but ultimately, I wont lose sleep over it because I know that when it comes down to the nitty gritty, we should prevail.

Well if they really do the confetti after every game, then it's not only lame that they did it yesterday but it's really lame when they did it after beating the Bucks.

I think it was clearly a MUCH bigger game for the Lakers than it was for the C's.  They had been waiting for this game for a long time.  The thing is though, they have been preparing for this game for weeks if not months.  The Celtics had not really seen this year's Laker team and were clearly not as prepared or hyped as LA - especially whereas the C's have a game tonight which means just as much as yesterday's and LA sits for a couple days.  Plus it will give the C's extra motivation to start a new streak!  Maybe they will win the next 52 and go 79-3   ;D
