It is a huge game made even larger because it is Xmas and on national TV. We are the champoins!!! Why isn't the game in Boston? Somebody must ask David Stern or is it really necessary. I hope we blow them out of their own building.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Because they want the Lakers to win. In Boston there is no hope in LA they can maybe lose by 10 if they're lucky. Ooooooooo They're going to get spanked today I just know it.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Doc said the same thing.  He said that before the season, he proposed a rule that the defending champion host a Christmas game every year.  He wasn't happy that the game is in LA.

The one sided offiacieting plus the fact no one on Boston seemed to take this game as seriously as the Fakers...

I thought it was funny that the Lakers were talking about this game for a month before it happened. They definately wanted it more..but in the end the most important games are not until June. I don't mind C's losing but the amount of slobbering of the Lakers the media will be doing will be nauseating. I am going to try to avoid it.

Well, this game was the Lakers one and only stand against the C's this year. Kudos to Sasha and Pau, for making up for their p!ss poor performances last June.

I say... they don't make it to the finals and we win the next one with them at home.

Ditto...The one sided officiating was just ridiculous.

Other things:

Doc's poor coaching showing up again - Leaving the reserves in til almost 6 minutes left in the fourth was ridiculous, what was even more ridiculous is that Doc didnt call a play for Ray Allen or get on the rest of the knuckle head bench to pass it to Ray.

Lack of motivation - Pierce looked dead this entire game. Then he started to heat up in the third and what happened after that? Doc called no more plays for him, no one gave him the ball.

Rondo wasnt driving as much as he should have.

The celts walked the ball up the court almost the entire game, so frustrating to watch. Thats all in Doc's hands.

The reserves played AWFUL. Eddie brought the ball up and the first person to touch the ball shot it, usually taking a bad shot.

No one drove to the hoops, nothing at the foul line...

The whole game was frustrated. However theres 2 good things coming from this game. 1) This loss will make the c's want every other game so much more to prove they are the best. It will only make them better. and 2) It shows that we can play god awful basketball and the lakers can play their best game and we can still be right there with them the entire game.

the most aggravating thing tonight was the celtics turnovers.  yes, we can complain about the refs, but we cant do anything about it.  turnovers is something we can control.

Yep, post-Christmas and post-ASG...just about every year in recent memory for the Celts.  I've got no issue with "league agenda" here.

Rondo looked tentative and the offense broke down.

The rotations were slow at times.

THe offensive decisions were bad and cost the Celtics in transition defense.

The marginal calls went against us.

The bench did not play well for the most part.

Lakers played with more energy, passion, and emotion.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!

And some not that marginal

I hate to say the refering beinf that influence in a game
but this time thats the truth
Without taking out merits to stern and the Lakers
Specially Kobe and Pau who finally show a soul
Refering was HORRENDous specially and for some reason during Cs runs.
That isnt an excuse for Tony allen stinky performance
