I think hes being a little to aggresive on the offensive end. He needs to be more of a pure point guard. He has been taking a ton of shots, a lot of nights he has the most field goal attempts. We play better as a team when he has 15 assists then when he has 26 points and 5 assists. I think he is one of the reasons why Pierce has been not so aggresive offensively and is becoming frustrated with Rondo and the rest of the offense.

Complete nonsense. For starters, most of Rondo's FGA came with Pierce in the bench with foul trouble.

Second, he wasn't missing. Third, did you see how well we shot for the night? Fourth did you see how many points we scored?

I think the adverb you are looking for is "too".
God bless and good night!

I guess I only feel this way because I feel like Pierce is being left out of the offense and I am used to him scoring more.

Completely disagree.....

Rondo has been excellent, nothing better than a guy that can score 26 with 4 assists one night.

Then score 4 with 17 assists the next.....

Makes us very, very hard to defend against.

Rondo's play wouldn't bother PP one bit.

Sorry for the cynical initial response, but as I've posted elsewhere on this board, Pierce is taking himself out of the offense by being selfish and lazy relative to the rest of the team.

At least that's how I see it.
God bless and good night!

Wow! Could this OP be any more off? How can you not be anything but completely ecstatic about what Rondo has done in the month of December?

About Rondo's shot selection. He is currently the league leader among point guards in FG%. Can't ask for any more than that.

So Rondo scored a career high 26 tonight. How'd we play "as a team"? Well, for one, the Celtics did score 124 points, which I know must have been really "frustrating" for Paul Pierce. And I would say 7 different Celtics scoring in double figures is good team basketball.

Oh, and I bet Pierce is also really frustrated with the franchise record-tying 18-game winning streak, and 26-2 start to the season. If only he could go back to the days when he got to score 26 in a game, then he'd be much happier.  ::)

Dont at least some of you want to see Pierce score more. I mean I am saying all this because Pierce is my alltime favorite basketball player and he is only averaging 18.5 points a game this year. I have nothin against Rondo or any other Celtic, so I dont want you guys to get the wrong idea about me.

Maybe he will turn it up for the playoffs and is just saving himself and his body during the regular season.

After following this team through all the misery its gone through since I've been a fan, I couldn't care less that Paul Pierce is scoring less points per game than he used to. I care about winning, and at 26-2, I'm a very happy basketball fan. As for Pierce's individual performance, I'm happy to trade a few less points in exhange for much better defense and a finals MVP award.

Are you being serious there?

Yes, absolutely.  I elaborated more in my other posts, so I won't here.  But he has been almost a black hole lately.  Just watch him...
God bless and good night!
