  • The good ole days.
Based on Per 48 Minutes of Clutch Time (less than 5 minutes left, score within 5 points):

Pierce:  45.3 points on 48% shooting, 7.8 rebounds, 10.8 assists, +48
Allen:  33.0 points on 53% shooting, 50% on 3 PTs, 4.3 boards, 2.1 assists, +46
Garnett: 25.6 points on 69.2% shooting, 20.0 rebounds, 5.6 blocks, +39

Add it up, and the Big Three, during these clutch time situations, are putting up 103.9 PPG by themselves.  Incredible.

Oh, and the fact that KG is shooting 70% 'in the clutch'.... yeah...

Really talented and really confident in their ability to beat anyone no matter what the situation.  Scary good.

Interesting data.  At first I thought the sample size might be too small.  But, 10 games is a good amount to make the point well.

I really do think it is impossible to play 48 clutch minutes.

Yes..... but the extrapolation out to 48 minutes DOES show how well they play during crunch time, in the context of an entire 48 minute game.
