I've got a question about how it is to watch a Atlanta/Celtics game in Atlanta?

Me and a few friends are talking about taking a basketball vacation next year' to the states, traveling around and watching some games on the east coast and Celtics at Atlanta seems to be a good venue to watch a Celtics game in a hostile enviroment (by that i mean a crowed not being on your side)

From our perspective it seems like the Atlanta crowd has picked up their intensity compared to last year when facing the Celtics but the video feed never tells the story' so im hoping someone here knows.

So far we have agreed on watching a game in both Boston and New York but we need some other's aswell, so if you know of any good venue's to visit and against who' then that would be sweet aswell.

(we will be living in Boston for the duration of the vacation)
"Leadership is diving for a loose ball, getting the crowd involved, getting other players involved. It`s being able to take it as well as dish it out. That`s the only way you`re going to get respect from the players"

i have family that live in atlanta.  the fan base there is slowly increasing, but they arent passionate.  they say it is one of the worse professional sports towns.

with that said, it would be a cool place to go for a celts game.  there are seats available (at least this season.  if they make a playoff run, next year, seats might be a little harder to acquire).  the fans there can get loud, even when the phillips arena isnt sold out.

atlanta is a nice city to visit as well, so i think its a good choice

I live in Birmingham, AL and go to most of the C's games in ATL dating back to the mid 80's.  There are almost as many C's fans at these games as there are Hawks fans.  I've been to several in Boston and there is no comparison to the crowds.  The Garden has by far the most knowledgeable fans in the world.  I've also been to New Orleans which is thought of as rowdy and it doesn't compare either.

Atlanta is a nice city, but it's sports fans are flighty.  This is why I found Bibby's comments last year to be so moronic.  The Hawks team, like their fans get up for "big games" whereas Celtic fans understand that it's just another test along a journey to something more important...even when we are not very good.

Phillips Arena is all rappers, fire, stripper-like dancers and PA announcers that start chants of "Defense!" during the ****' game.  Enjoy the trip to Atlanta if you go, but expect a circus as much as a game.
