I'm actually fed up with it. When the media beloved lakers edged the Knicks it was all about how they won. Calling it a thriller which any idiot reading would gather from the readings just how well the lakers are at closing games! As opposed to how the wanabee champs almost lost to a second tier team AT home!

Enough about them; I don't understand why NBA.com and sometimes ESPN are constantly against the celtics! Do they naturally give props to the underdog in order to add media spice! Is it a marketing strategy?  Check this out,

"CELTICS ESCAPE WIN IN ATLANTA. With help from Joe Johnson's missed free throws, the celtics finally won in atlanta edging the hawks..."

I can bet my bottom dollar that if just about any other team in the NBA went on a 16 game winning streak as well as being on the verge of the best start in NBA history, their media exposure would be a little more glorified.

That's exactly what they did.  No doubt, the Celts made some huge plays down the stretch, but if JJ - an 80-plus percent FT shooter - doesn't miss, the Celts have 2.7 seconds to score, or
we go to OT, and then who knows what happens?  They played a hard-fought battle on the road against a good team that is especially hungry against the C's (and our boys didn't play their best ball).  I've got no problem with that headline.

It feels like every other game is on national television, and the our boys are getting plenty of pub on the Worldwide Leader.  I've got no particular issues with the media right about now.

Now last June, that was another story.

They've got this favorable Hollinger article linked on the front page if you want a more pro-Celtics angle. ESPN sucks but this time there isn't much to complain about.
